So the new double bared masuri have taken a few hits.
Smith took a steyn thunderbolt to the ear guard yesterday and just carried on. No signs off anything from smith.
Today in the big bash, Whitman took one to the grill from Brett lee. Straight in the mush area. Granted it was a. Slowwerrrr ball from lee, but no visible distortion to the grill.
Although white man looked dazed and shaken, on replies it looked as if the helmet was excessively loose, and the grill did make contact with his face.
Not really masuris fault if the player doesn't wear them right,
But so far so good on protection.

I think someone got one on the lid for Brisbane heat in the big bash game yesterday too, wearing a new masuri

only really going to count when we see someone getting hit in the gap between grille and visor in my view.

Got hit once right on the head, granted it was no brett lee or steyn but I did not feel a thing and carried on as normal.
On the flip side, the main reason I got hit in my opinion is because I couldn't see properly through the double bar grill.

I'm not good enough to even see an 85mph bumper, let along edge one! :-[

The masuri are growing on me, now they've changed the ear piece and got rid of the crumpled front.
Now if only they'd sell them to the public on the t20 style. I.e black halo and dark grey girl, and contrasting cloth colours(lime green, yellow, pink, orange I'd all rock over standard. Boring colours)
