Title: Best teamwear
Post by: King pair on January 08, 2015, 11:13:06 PM
Right the time has come for us to look for new teamwear for the club

So I wanted people's opinions from experience on what is the best stuff you've had? Not value for money, just as far as the actual kit is concerned, what is best? What looks best? What lasts etc etc

We are going to list 3 brands and then speak to all of them so top 3 for everyone would be good

Best we had was North Gear, who I think went out of business so won't be an option  :(

Avoid Kukri whatever you do, we seemed to get nothing but problems with them.

Using Masuri at the moment which looks smart (despite being that bright white colour I don't like!) and still looks brand new after a seasons use, so they get a thumbs up from me.

What were your issues with Kukri? they seem to be coping with the copious demands we have made to get a mock up of the kit... How much were the masuri tops/ trousers, as my club are on the hunt for something good but also relatively cost effective for the members.

Kukri had a shocker supplying our uni (and Glos uni I was told the other day), orders being very slow and in the end just not fulfilling orders, I'm told our uni tore the contract up and moved suppliers. Was disappointed they did it after I left as the new gear (O'Neals) looks a lot nicer! Kukri teamwear is ok but the playing gear was pretty poor, and neither lasted well.

My club uses Canterbury at the moment which seems middle of the road on price but excellent kit.

Although the adidas a kit was off good quality.  The supplier and embroidery was extremely bad.....
If you can get it somewhere decent then do.

Serious cricket- good gear. Comfy.  Wears well. Supply is awesome. Good gear.
only issue is people ask "who's that" then say it's too expensive for a non brand.

GM gear we had was okay. Nothing brill. Nothing bad.

I quite like the idea of canterbury i think it looks nice but im finding it difficult to find a catalogue or a contact to speak to about them.

Has anyone got one?

I really like old style cotton shirts - am I the only person who likes them?

Always found Surridge to be good quality, hard wearing and they have a wide range of options with colours and lots of teamwear available. Looks smart gear as well

Our club recently used ss shirts, they are decent but so expensive especially for youth shirts. Imo cricket shirts have become needlesly expensive, for your every day cluby surely a basic cotton cricket shirt suffices.

I agree yeh they arent cheap, but there about par for the course when you look at all there competition, adidas and cantebury for example.

I second the B3 recommendation. Ordered ours at the end of last season. Top service throughout the order process.

Got to say our teamwear with the new clubshop function is up there in both terms of quality and price.

I have in the time used Kukri, addidas, and SS whilst i agree ss is decent but it is at a price.

We do club shops on off the shelf GN or Adidas gear at very good prices. We also offer Gray Nicolls bespoke sublimation, my own team used this in the past (before Vitas Cricket) and it is very good but can take a while to arrive.

We also offer our own bespoke sublimated kit made in Europe with 4 week turnarounds.

Are there any plans for a Long sleeve playing shirt in your range?

They do LS, I've ordered some, just don't think they show them on their site.

You have opted for kit for serious cricket too....

In general good gear, no complaints. All seems hard wearing and lasting.

Stewart Surridge is by far the best we have used, and Kalibazar as a supplier are excellent. Even manage to make a few quid for the club each year.

Hi mate

They failed to deliver to their timescales, sizing was inconsistent and some shirts didn't have the sponsor logo on.

Other than that they were fine lol

Think the Masuri shirts are £25 and trousers £18 each (but not certain)
