Hi Guys,
My recent and latest acquisition from Marcus at Affinity Cricket. It's a Carbine with custom labels which Marcus made for me to mark my battle with cancer.
The bat has about seven grains, and a bit of heartwood and a couple of butterfly stains. Weighs in a shade under 2lb 12oz. The profile of the bat is huge, and I'm not refering to the edges (although they are fairly massive as well). It has absolutely no concaving. The pick up is ok, won't say its great but definitely not bad as well.
Let's face it, it's not going to win any prizes for looks, but after a couple of net sessions, it goes like nobody's business. Granted it's use has been limited, and it may be a bit premature, but it pings like Hell.
This my third Affinity, and it's by far the best! And don't get me started on Marcus and his exceptional customer service. I honestly could not have asked for anything more. Most definfly will be investing in a new one soon...

Great review and a even better little twist to mark your battle!
Little more if a duckbill than your previous affinity bats

Great looking bat, hope it brings plenty enjoyment your way, loving the stickers too.

Lovely stick and hope it brings some runs. Wish the edge tape didnt have creases though!

Marcus is a top bloke, I imagine he relished the opportunity to make you something unique to mark your battle. Love the look of the bat, especially the blue carbine down the edges

I'm liking the look of that.
And what a cool thing to do. :)

Wow... concaving really is out of fashion this season... looks a beast regardless of how pretty it is.. it's the performance we all really want.... isn't it?
Hope it scores u masses of runs...

Noticed that too, not sure if it's the general profile of the Carbine or if it's something new he tried.

The pain of edge tape! 😆

Couldn't agree with you more, he's a really genuine guy...

@praguetaz if it scores tons of runs don't think anyone will be concerned about the looks....performance trumps looks any day ;)

If that was the case, we'd all have saved ourselves lots of money... it's the holy grail for someone like me...looks AND performance because bats are like 'works of art'.
Over the Xmas holidays I was relaxing and winding down by knocking in, sanding, waxing, playing with grip combinations and just admiring my bats for next season including my new B&S Assegai. There's something so therapeutic about working on and handling 'willow'... ;)

If only the mrs would see it that way...if only @praguetaz ;)
