It would still be Spartan wouldn't it seeing as he has his own model?

I think Asad said the MP range has been discontinued as he's not with them any more.
-
I did not know that. How long has his range been out? Seems odd they'd only sign him on a short term deal and give him his own range...
-
Didn't someone from here ask Prior on Twitter recently who he was switching to and was told he was still with Spartan?
-
Yes think it was @iand123
-
Do they still do the Matt Prior range?
Not any more as he is no longer sponsered by them.

Interesting as I am sure he sung the praises of the new Masuris whilst working as a Sky pundit.
Sponsored or not, the MP range isn't available this year.

Is there a generic non player range this year Jake??
-
The shreys basically are masuris arent they? Or similar to the previous models.
The new masuris look awful.

The X Series.
Not available in the UK though!

I tried a mates new masuri on at our nets last week, didn't like it at all, I can see why some pros still use the old version. Once my old version masuri has served its purpose I'll be looking elsewhere.
-
Is this the Pro-Issue model? Or is it just the 2015 version? Most of the ones I've seen haven't got the extra 'upward' bar in the top row of the grille
-
That's the Shrey Masterclass Titanium model nice helmet! Trescothick is using the Shrey also.
-
Is the grill now not adjustable ?
-
Yes
-
Some of the Shrey helmets worn in the SA v WI t20 were adjustable, I'm guessing with the new regs these aren't allowed to be sold in the UK?
-
New Shrey models have fixed grill and a stronger peak! sold very well in our store!

Grey area still I am afraid.
They will probably be certified to the old standard rather than have no certification at all (can't see a retailer taking the risk of selling one without a BSI certification) which to my knowledge means it will have had to have been made/tested before a certain date, ie before the new test was introduced. GM lids that arrived to us in very late December carry the new certification standard as an example on dating, i don't know when they were tested of course.
'stronger peak'
'fixed grill'
'used in the IPl'
In my opinion are all ways of saying it without saying it. Shrey lids don't pass the test currently.
Edit:
Just found the description on Aswanis website, certified agains the old BS7298:1998 standard.

Is it possible to remove the grill and replace it with another, in case its damaged?
I was told today that the grill can't be removed at all, which seems strange....
-
Grill can`t be removed on the Shrey helmets available in the UK, yes correct they carry the 98 standard at the moment, like many other brands apart from GM. I've been told by Shrey that helmets are being tested for the new bs standard this month.
-
To me that looks like a Masuri grill on there, exact same contour, ear padding, etc. just appears as if the MP/Shrey branding on the side is to cover up the Masuri logo. It is still a pretty nice looking helmet, very traditional...

Just a minor hijack, but I'd like to get a retailer opinion - I'm looking at upgrading my lid, and I like the look of the Albion Elite Pro (for starters, it doesn't look like as if it's been made for someone riding a horse, which most do to me).
However, I haven't heard a squeak from Albion about a new 2015 range. So anyone have any opinion on the Elite Club/Pro, first-hand or not?
