Title: Kookaburra Ricochet Tanto v Ricochet 300
Post by: philharr on January 23, 2015, 10:17:48 AM
Was at an Intersport the other day and saw the Ricochet Tanto model reduced to £60 and a Ricochet 300 reduced to £50.  Is the Tanto a special production for Intersport as I haven't seen it in any of the specialist cricket retailers.  Just wondering as it was stickered at around £130 originally before the reduction and looks quite a nice bat.  The 300 was also nice but had a couple of marks where it had abviously been caught against sharp edges etc but was also a nice pick up.  Just thinking that they are quite a bargain if they sound ok when tested with a mallet and there doesn't appear to be any difference in quality in fact the Tanto has more grains but a small blemish on the face.

Mate forget the "official grading"
Get the one that feels nicest or pings better.

No point getting a "better" model of the performance isn't as good  :)

Yeah I was just wondering about this Tanto branding that's all as I haven't seen it before.

Tanto will probably be an exclusive to Intersport.

Any Kook English Willow bat with a name rather than a number, eg 'hurricane' instead of '400' is exclusive to a buying group or a retail partnership like intersport.
