Been struggling to get a Kook Max grip over a chevron grip using the plastic bag method (never going to happen) and stumbled across the Kwikgrip applicator.
Can't find them for sale anywhere - Aswani don't appear to stock them now.
Any ideas? Or would a cone be the next best thing?
-
Cone is the easiest in my opinion.
It just takes some practice.
-
From experience these (No Swearing Please) pump contraptions just don't work for applying a bat grip.
Invest in a good old cone, easiest way by far :)
-
I don't like them, not great to use.
Comes are best, in my opinion.

They are (No Swearing Please)!
-
They are pants. And not wide enough for a second grip on most bats.
Use a cone.
-
i have both and as much as i like the vacuum pump they dont work for second grips and after a couple of goes cones are far easier
-
Those vacuum pumps can have some fun alternative uses though! ;)
-
they work if you tape securely both ends of the grip but never work on octo grips
-
Mine works fine... much quicker and easier than a cone.. even for a 2nd grip... sometimes have to secure one end on my thigh to ensure vacuum remains as well as a continuous pump.. can't remember the make but not one of gm's black ones...
-
The only problem with using a cone is that it is very hard to get a thick grip on, like a GM control
-
Thanks for your thoughts, folks. In the end I went for a good old cone.
Managed to get the job done, but it was a bit of a struggle with the thick Kook grip. :-[

Blast from the past there, but someone seems to be selling the Fearnley ones on eBay now for a tenner.

Guessing someone found a stash of them in a warehouse or something. Interested to know why sort of grip types the manage. Not many using normal chevrons these days, but in true CBF style
I bought 2 before checking :D

Nice spot!
So the question is... is it any good?
-
Got mine in the post today, not the easiest to get a thick GM grip onto but once it's on it works a charm! Top spot @Kulli

Had it on the radiator for 20 minutes, still tested the finger strength out!
