Hello all,
We are pleased to announce that for those CBF members lurking outside the EU, we are now VAT registered meaning 16.67% off anything purchased from us from now on :)
I know a few of you may well have your eye on those custom G1 bats from Hunts at £165 before the discount, or perhaps the new B&S range?
I have had a few members not continue with their purchase after learning of our inability to remove the VAT, with that barrier gone, there is no excuse ;)
Jake

Nice work Jake....

Now I'm holding out for a custom Hunts County.... Jake why do you do this to me, my bats are perfectly fine!
-
Woohooooo... I've been waiting for this day. Only problem is the stupid Canadian dollar has fallen by 20% so I end up paying the same what I would've 6 months ago.
-
The exchange rate at the moment is a bit of a killer
But I suppose getting a quote for a set of stretton foxs inner and outer thigh pads posted to Australia couldn't hurt... :-[
-
Add to that cost of shipping. If that was cracked, would have loved to order a UK made Grade 1.
-
The exchange rate is getting ridiculous for us Canadians. 1 UK pound is 1.92 CAD $. 3 weeks ago it was 1.77.
And 1 US $ is almost 1.28 CAD $.
Add to that Credit card/Paypal fees another 0.05 $.
-
With the VAT exclusion, is that not offset by the import duties (and that's why people get a VAT deduction???)
Apologies if this has been asked before, have always wondered!

It is an more for Norway, where anything worth over 35 pounds you need to pay 20% on and then a whopping admin fee of around 30 per transaction also.

Be thankful bro. The exchange rate for a Trinidad and Tobago dollar is 1 UK pound is $11 TT....It's a big sacrifice buying kit when you're from Trinidad and even more so when you're a forum member. Must resist buying more kit...

I think the problem is that not that long ago, less then a year, 1GBP was only 1.5CAD so a 100GBP bat would cost 150CAD now the same 100GBP bat is 300 CAD, add on top the customs (which is tax + import fee + processing fee) you end paying a lot more than just tax if you had purchased the bat in Canada for that much money, oh yea and shipping too which seems to have gone up from about 30gbp to 45-60gbp per bat thats a 100 to 120 dollars just for shipping :(
-
As much as I'd love to get a new bat via UK - the current Australian dollar is so bad it's infeasible.
Today: £100 = $192 AUD
2013: £100 = $144 AUD
Makes a huge difference when you're buying bats that are £200-250

Shipping fluctuates. A single bat to Canada right now is £23 and that's just from the first place I have checked just now.
I am not in control of exchange rates I am afraid chaps. I'm sure it is frustrating when things cost you more than they did in the past, but this topic was simply intended to inform you of the ability to remove VAT from our prices for non-EU customers.

Don't get me wrong Jake, I myself have been waiting patiently for you to be VAT registered as the discount helps. Every little counts. Couple of guys here, myself included, are just venting our frustrations a bit...the joys of being a Non-UK resident.

Sorry, didn't mean to go off piste - it's indeed a great deal for overseas guys - had a enough bats where import duty was missed so more power to the international customers!

Appreciate the heads, up means I can get things delivered when I won't be back in the UK for a while without taking a big hit, but it's not as big a bonus for Norway as many other countries, and that was before the pound had a bit of a revival :)
-
No problem venting chaps, it just won't do much good as it's all out of my hands unfortunately.
I always try to find the best shipping quote that i can, from a wide range of options for people.

No doubting that Jake, also being VAT registered makes it more attractive for us overseas buyers.
