Doing some work there mid week with an overnight stay. Anyone doing mid week nets that I could maybe join?
-
You really need to make sure your next job is up north.
Probably best refusing anything that doesn't allow you to play cricket at nights or weekends, it's how I make most of the important decisions in my life.
-
@RF Haha... Yeah but you boys out in the sticks of Lincolnshire pay for work in sugar beat and barley!
-
If this is a one off then maybe i can't help unless you fancy the trip down from Corby (about half an hour) to have a net in store here, open til 7pm.
But if you are doing it regularly then my club will be starting nets in Stamford on Monday evenings from the end of Feb.

That's an amazing offer and something that I would love to take you up on. I'll probably be in Corby on Monday nights quite a lot so if it doesn't take a place from regulars than I'll try to join you in Stamford.
Being so close though (I hadn't realised I was so close) if I get away from work in good time I'll definitely have a ride over to say hello and check out your shop.
Once I know my schedule I'll definitely be booking some 30mins sessions if I can get in.

Do it Doogie - it's a cracking shop and they are great lads. Jake's more fun than he looks!! :)
-
The more the merrier mate :)
-
decision made... the new kook duffle (supplied by Jake) now lives in the boot of the car. That way i have options!
-
We start on Monday if you are still looking at some nets mate?
-
Cheers for the heads up. I can't this week but next week would be great.

@Vitas Cricket
I'm local tomorrow night. Would it be feasible to join your club for a net? I'm not world class so don't want to get in the way or take net time from club members. Alternatively I could do a 30 min net at your shop tius evening if it's not booked. Need to get my new red ink hitting some leather.

Just a note to say thanks for an entertaining evening during and post netting today.
Much appreciated you letting me join in.
Needless to say it shall not be the last time you all see me!
-
Not a problem mate you are more than welcome at all the nets you are available for. :)
-
Hey Jake - for a little fella, he drives a lot doesn't he!
-
Batted alongside him so didn't get a chance to test him out bowling my slop drops at him.
