Having always bought from the bigger brands throughout my life, I am now a bit put off by how much they charge for grade A willow, was originally looking for a custom made bat by a smaller company but on seeing Blank Bats B2 bat, I realised it was pretty much exactly what I was looking for & at a reasonable price for grade A willow (£225), after requesting a phone call from them, they kindly called me & told me they could supply one and customise it too come with a long handle and I could have one the near the weight I wanted (around the 3 pound mark). Ive paid and have been told to expect the bat in around 3-4 weeks.
I must say so far its been a pleasant experience and they were very nice to put up with all my questions, hopefully the bat turns up around the promised time and it is as nice as the customer service I have received from them so far, will report on the bat when it arrives but so far from a company to deal with I would recommend them.

Was really looking forward to seeing photos in the OP :( guess I will just have to wait.

A guy at our club has quite a bit of stuff from them looks really nice, I'm sure you won't be disappointed, I agree a lot of the big manufacturers are charging stupid money and seem to go up a lot each year.

I'm pleased to report the bat turned up earlier than expected and its a beauty, it has a very nice pickup for a 3 pound bat, after a few weeks knocking it in, I gave its first action in the nets last Sunday and its got just the biggest middle I have ever felt on a bat, cant wait for the season to start!
Service was very good from blank bats and I am very happy with the quality of the bat. Thanks guys
Unfortunately no photo as all I get when I push the insert image button is this..."(http://)", tried to put photos up from a few different places but each time the result was the same and after much frustration with it I have giving up trying.

Some pics when new. Glad you're pleased with it. Still a "big ole" bat even though it was around the three pound mark.

Phoar.
I hear network rail are missing a railway sleeper!
What shape is that based on?
-
Lovely looking bat, really impressed with the bb bats I have seen.
-
Well funnily enough its based on a . . . . "railway sleeper".
-
Funnily enough Buzz a railway sleeper is what they described it as when blankbats sent it to me, as I play for Railway Triangle Cricket Club its a very apt description too. 4cm edges may not be the biggest ever heard of but there is a lot of willow in this bat and it doesnt feel as heavy as you would expect a 3 pound bat to feel... Roll on May!

Lovely looking bat!! I like how the edges barely taper
-
Stunning grains on that bad boy
-
That looks a monster. Beautiful looking bat!!

I think your going to have to rename yourself hacksaw Jim Dugan... That's not a bat... It's a 2x4 HOOOO!
I think your most prolific run scoring shot this your will be forward defensive... 4 runs every time!
-
Every time I see a new blankbats post it just increases my longing for one haha, great looking bat and round about my preferred weight, love it!
-
looks beautiful! :o
