Where I got to before dealing with the cracks.
Sanded back with my orbital sander, starting at 60 grit and working up to 120. Once I'd got the willow to one colour and smooth ish I sealed the cracks with PVA glue.

What it looks like now

The bat has now had a fine sanding, a coat of oil and I've added an extra layer of twine to the bottom half of the handle.

Welcome to the Epic club Cam! Any chance of some details about weight, edge, spine, shoulders etc? I like to compare my Epic to others :D

I'll get the tape measure and scales out now mate!
Liking to compare it to others made me think of:

This is my epic. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My epic is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
My epic, without me, is useless. Without my epic, I am useless.

What did you do about the feathered toe? How is the rebound after PVA job?
