Title: SS Custom Made

Got an SS Custom Made which arrived today. I gave some pretty loose specifications and was happy with what I got back. The bat is a SH and weighs a touch under 2 Lb 8 oz.

I do indeed run that site, but it requires a revamp which I just haven't had the time for. The focus has moved more towards Indoor Cricket equipment.

The bat was custom made for me and actually weighs 2 Lb 8 oz, contrary to my previous post.

The price isn't really something I can discuss. Probably fairly expensive by English standards though.

I am assuming it would have been £200+
But I guess a few of us like the looks of it, and were interested on how much a fine piece of willow like that would cost!

Looking at their prices, the custom bat works out cheaper than their other top of the range bats!

that is for their regular G1 bats, but for the lighter and bigger willow (like the one on my Platinum Reserve bats) they charge min. £180 + post for custom made bats.

They have a very simple policy - the more specifics you go into - number of grains, edges, etc.etc. the price keeps going up!!!

I have 10 custom made bats from SS. Yash is correct that Price for lighter willow is definitely high.
All of our SS bats are hand picked but not Custom made. I am going be in India next month to get my bats made from SS and BAs. will also get some Custom made from both manufacturers.

Just to add her that the price of $225 or £140 is exclusive of courier charges (£25-£30) and a VAT of 17.5%......£200 almost.....

lovely bat. I think the stickers are too big though, uses up to much of the blade.

back on topic, i agree with the stickers, SS's always come too far down blade if you ask me!
