Just spotter this lot on Twitter: http://dunamiscricket.co.uk/ (http://dunamiscricket.co.uk/)
seem to be backed by Herschelle Gibbs.
No idea what they're like, just thought I'd share.

Our old pro seems to know the bat maker I believe!
-
oh really? Best get on to him and see if he can get them to finish the website! :)

Hi Guys, Website is coming a long slowly. We had a bit of issues with the photos of the bats so trying to sort out a new photo shoot date. Our softs are arriving till March so can't get proper images of those yet to add to website. Things are happening a lot quicker than we expected. Thanks for taking interest in is tho. Glad the word is spreading about us

Saw a couple in the Hampshire league last year I think.
One scored a hundred, the other had an edge that carried nicely to 1st slip

Must say, they look to be finished really well.
I like the look of the Divinity, brilliant shape. Might see if I can get a 2"8 with an oval handle
*edit - scratch that, apparently Divinity starts at 2"9*

I picked up one of these bats recently, Relentless weighing in at 3lb. Yes 3lb! Absolutely massive but picks up like a feather. It is balanced to perfection.
really well made bats!

I actually know Alex the bat maker quite well. Although the brand is new he has been making bats for a number of years now. He's supplied bats to a number of current / ex professional players and premier league cricketers, and as far as I know they seem to keep coming back for more.
I think the branding looks good, and they're investing a lot of time into developing their bats as well as supporting those who buy them, with personal aftersales support whicj is so often overlooked.
It's tough to know if they'll be the next Spartan or not as those guys must have had some incredible funding behind them, but invariably the bats are decent which is a start.

Gosh, what a lot of brand new members coincidentally seem to be familiar with this brand - what are the chances eh? :)

I still can't believe no one sees the humour in the line " they are BACKED by Herschelle Gibbs"
-
Phone number looks as if they're fairly local to me. Would mke sense that I saw a couple last season if they are.
They're quite active on facebook I think, they seemed familiar as the club's "rarest bloke" keeps sharing their win a bat post!

Something that is refreshing to hear is that the Batmaker has made some bats for some current/ex pros. I would ask who they were but i'm sure we wont find out because they were contracted with someone else
-
I know that he's made bats for Derek Kenway for a number of years now, you may remember he was a Hampshire top order batsman for 10 years or so... I think Jordan Silk also used them whilst I'm the UK a few years back, but I he's now got a big GM deal which is understandable as a big bash star.
These guys playing high profile cricket can pick up a really good sponsor fee which no doubt prices a lot of smaller companies out of the market.
-
Do you play locally to the guys mentioned samlavery?
-
I don't play anymore, I'm the Cricket Professional / Academy Director at Portsmouth Grammar School.
-
Ah okay, not a million miles from me then pal.
I don't know off the top of my head of we've got any PGS boys playing for us at the moment (as I've stepped away from the colts setup) but we usually have a couple in our ranks!
-
Ah ok, which club is it you're associated with?
-
Sarisbury mate
I can think of a few who I know definitely were PGS boys but as its a public forum probably best I don't start posting names haha
-
Agreed. I do know a few who've come through PGS who are at your club. I know a few of the first XI lads at your club as well... Being so local I'm sure that a few of these Dunamis bats will end up there over the next few years. Being so local you should contact Dunamis and see if they'll bring a selection of bats round. With a club your size that could be beneficial to everyone Id imagine?
