Unbelievable quality for the price, I count 9 pretty straight and even grains. The blemishes underneath the middle are hard, but the mallet seems to rebound a little better off those parts. The stickers are lovely, some of the best out there at the moment. It's funny how they haven't changed the design all that much, they've just added texture, made the colours richer and added some chrome, and all of a sudden, they look 100 times better! (I used to hate the NB stickers, as I felt they looked cheap and that the fakes looked almost the same)
Pick up wise, this bat is lovely. I would have guessed around the 2.8-2.9 mark, so it is a nice and light pick up. The textured grip is a nice feature, but the best thing about the feel of the bat is probably the oval handle. It's kind of a medium oval, not any of that 'semi-oval which may as well be round' nonsense, but not too obtrusive for the people who like to use a lot of bottom hand for their shots. It's a nice feature, as quite a lot of Indian mass produced bats are just round handles, which I know many prefer, but for me, an oval handle just feels like it fits in my hands nicer.
The swell on the profile is located at around 230mm from the toe, which is pretty high, but the playing area does extend pretty low. Granted it may not pack as much of a punch as some other bats do down there, it is still impressive how long the playing area is. In terms of concaving, there is a fair bit, but it never dips below the edge, and isn't quite as aggressive as some other bats. The rebound is excellent, and will probably only get better, especially around the areas with 'marbling'. In terms of size, the edge thickness is around 36mm, and the spine height is around about 58mm. (Rough measurement for the spine) The toe is around 25mm at the thickest point, so a reasonable thickness.
The finish of the bat is lovely, a good standard and has been polished well. The handle has been bound well and the binding is of good quality, but hasn't had a coat of glue post-bind. The handle is a 12 piece cane construction I believe, (Can't quite fully count the number of pieces without peeling off the handle sticker) and has cork inserts. The toe guard is also fitted nicely and matches in colour! Just the overall presentation of the bat with the high quality textured stickers is impressive, especially for a bat in this price range. The only issue some people may find is that it doesn't come fitted with a scuff sheet, but I personally prefer bats without scuff sheets. Means I can round the edges nicely without worrying about tearing or wrinkling the scuff sheet!
All in all, an excellent bat in terms of value for money. I've seen plenty of higher graded bats at double the price look shabbier than this, and some that just don't seem as impressive in terms of a finished product, and don't seem to respond quite as nicely off the mallet.
A big thanks to Paul for his excellent and prompt service. Never had an issue with my dealings with him, and I feel that IJC's score on Trustpilot is a true reflection on the quality of service and product they provide. The bat was paid for on Monday evening last week and arrived on Wednesday. As soon as I saw it on my FB feed, it was just asking to be bought! :D

Looks like a high swell/middle on this one...shaped like CA. Do you know how high (in inches) is the middle from the toe of the bat?
-
Grainage looks good but those stickers are busier now than what you see on CA's
-
Is this the one on YouTube? Looks a beaut for that price
-
Well its one of either 3/4, Paul from IJC said he sold out the same day. They are nice stickers but I just wonder who/where the bats are really made?
Out of the two designs I prefer the Blue and Yellow ones :)
-
I've seen a few of these TC560's now and I think they are great value bats. The willow definitely seems better than grade 3, maybe they are trying to over deliver in terms of quality first off to make a good impression / impact in the market.
The stickers look brilliant in the flesh, none of the pictures I've seen do them justice, some of the best out there at the moment.

They have New Balance stickers, which means they are made by New Balance in the New Balance factory! ;)
-
Some are made here and some are Indian i think. According to a conversation i recently had when visiting a certain company. but the bow in this one would suggest to me that its an indian one

'Can't tell if being sarcastic or not' :D

I love graping in a bat
this looks a beauty (although too much concaving for me..)
-
What is graping?
-
Got to get myself down to IJC soon, they always seem to have a pick of G2 & G3 bats

It's also not true, any stars wars fan will tell you the sith are greedy and all have secret apprentices.

How long have you got? In some cases the additional apprentices are known to the Sith Master e.g Sidious was training Maul while Plaguis was still alive (though technically as a Sith assasin) and in The Force Awakens Darth Vader was training Starkiller as an Apprentice, telling him the plan was to overthrow Sidious.
How many are actually cannon now though?
As Disney have pretty much killed off all the Extended Universe that took place between Revenge of the Sith and a New Hope, along with anything that happened after Return of the Jedi I'm wondering what direction The Force Awakens will take.
I think we've gone off on a tangent here :-[

Big tangent, but when a sith stops being taught is he not still a sith? Maul never died, he went in hiding. Douku trained ventress, then when she pee'd him off switched to oppress savage(although that's another tale).
So technically at one point there was Siddous, douku, maul, ventress and savage who could all claim to be sith lords(they knew the force to the extent of a Jedi master, but certainly weren't jedi).
No shock that the dark side breaks the rules........... And we are quite sad.....
-
I was going to reply to that with a post about Dooku's dying though, but maybe it's best we leave the Star Wars discussion and get back to the bat... :-[

I never though that Star Wars and cricket would ever cross paths (except with Jedi cricket).
MY one and only interjection.
I was under the impression that there are only two, a master and an apprentice in a group but there can be more than one group. As with Maul, he went off and trained another whilst Vader/Palpatine rules somewhere else?
Anyway, that is one beauty of a bat.

Never? Lol
I pre ordered a dc580 from prodirect, should have been with me mid February. The stock still hasn't arrived, and new balance won't tell them when it will.
Barringtons having the same issue.
Also both have sold out merely on pre order off the dc580......which is why I'm reluctant to cancel and go elsewhere. Just gonna have to be patient.

The exclusivity on that colourway and other exclusive items (shoes) ends in December. NB won't offer exclusive products from then onwards ever again so all items can be purchased via any retailer.
-
My goodness, this thread had derailed a fair bit! And by none other than the person who bowls with about as much accuracy as a Stormtrooper. @WalkingWicket37 :D
Updated the review, the initial thoughts did not do this bat justice at all!
-
SQ Sports are now selling the blue NB range.
Where as I can't seem to find them on their website??

Think people answered that earlier, SQ SPORTS have them in stock though, still not listed on their website. :(
They did advertise them via their twitter feed, only the top end ones available.

Look at Crown Cricketer on facebook
-
@ItsJustCricket Paul any idea if you could get in the blue NB bats or if not when will you be getting more red NB bats in?

If you have a look in this months 'The Cricketer' magazine they really rate the New Balance gear for 2015 and going as far as awarding them manufacturer of the year. For all those who are wanting to know the GM Aura got first place in their good gear guide but go buy the mag to know more.
-
Not sure whether it has been highlighted on previous pages, NB is exclusively made by FC sondhi from India. The other cracking news is that kookaburra has set up their own factory in India, and no longer contracting with SG. Big blow for them.
Cheers,
Swat

hmmm....interesting to see if SG start to market their bats over here then - there might well be a decent market for them.
-
This isn't true as far as I know
I was told by their manager who came to us asking join as distributor. How true it is, very difficult to answer.
-
FC Sondhi are making all New Balance bats so far.
There was talk of another bigger Meerut firm making them instead but nothing yet. All the bats I have seen (am talking over 100 bats I have seen) are all FC Sondhi made.
-
I was waving a TC560 round in my local sports shop last Friday.
The pickup was lovely and the stickers look amazing in the flesh. As Chad says they kept the same design, but some embossing and glossy bits make all the difference compared to the originals.
That said I still want a blue one! :D

I ordered this bat from ijc. Delivered in no time. Bat looks great value for money and I can't wait to use it this week in training. Paul was great to deal with
