Title: Recovering WK Gloves
Post by: StevieG on March 15, 2015, 07:46:07 PM
Hiya, I need to get my glovers recovered, could anyone recommend someone who does this please, as it seems less and less people are doing it now.

I'm in Bristol, so if there is anyone nearby that would be great :-)

Alternatively, my last 3 pairs of gloves have been Easton Gel, and I used to get them direct, but I can't find them anymore, I think they may have been taken over by someone (Aero)  any suggestions please??

Many Thanks

Steve

What's the benefit of having them recovered over buying a new pair? Is it really much cheaper?

Asking as normally the wearing is part is of the palms rather then the rest of the glove.

I can't image many brands (any) offering this service given that softs themselves are not make in the UK. Perhaps companies that spike ordinary trainers may be work an ask?

Depending on what grade of glove you have it may be a good £30/40 cheaper. The main reason for getting it done is if you have a pair that are really comfy and fit perfectly but only the palm is worn why not get them refaced. You get to keep using your favourite gloves.

I've been using John Copus for years.  Has always done an excellent job, would definitely recommend.

Many Thanks for this guys.. why I didn't think of googling?? D'oh!

and yes, re above, happy with my gloves fit and feel, recovering is £30/£35 so would save paying prob a lot more for a new pair.. and as noted above, looks like they have stopped making these gloves too!  I have had them done before, but forgot who it was... they are a little worn now a la Jack Russell!
