Hey all
I bowl off spin and have done for 5 years now, I rarely get the ball to turn indoors. Outdoors on grass it is not normally an issue...
However in my last 2 indoor net sessions I have noticed that when I get the ball back after each delivery, the green marks (from the flooring) are always on the sides of the balls, suggesting that I am getting more topspin than sidespin. :/
Other than trying to give it a real good rip, can anyone suggest any helpful advice to me?
Cheers,
Ollie

when you bowl, make sure you really get tall and almost imagine trying to push your hand over the top of the ball as you bowl, its hard to explain without a video, but when you watch someone like swann bowl, in his delivery he pivots really tall around his lead foot and this allows him to get over the ball and impart revs onto the ball.

Do you get more bounce than spin? Normally that's a sign of top spin.

Sometimes yes but with it hitting the sides of the ball it tends to skid through
