Title: Another SS Master
Post by: Pilgrim on March 25, 2015, 08:47:10 PM
Having seen some of the SS Master bats around I decided to take a gamble with Kaboom cricket off eBay and get an SS Master 7000 bat. I asked for some photos of any they had in 2lb 9oz and got a swift response with pics of two bats. Chose one of them and paid for it on Thursday. It was sent on Friday and unbelievably I received it yesterday morning (Tuesday)!!!This is incredible delivery speed from India I reckon!
The bat looks great, just love the more minimalist SS Master stickers, and it has 8 very straight grains with no blemishes. It has 40mm edges, hardly any concaving and a thick duck bill toe, keeping quite a low middle. It came with the really cool camouflage SS bat carry case and loads of other bat care extras. Am delighted with the purchase and it will be a straight fight between this and my SS Maximus as my match bat for this year I reckon. Enjoy the pics.

That's the right eBay location. They have the full range of SS Master bats.
This one cost me £200 posted. I know Onlinestockist had some on their Facebook page a while ago that were a bit less (without the postage) but they didn't know when they would be getting anymore or if they would have lighter ones in.
Kaboom Cricket provided excellent service and the bat is fantastic so I don't mind if I paid a little over the odds to get one exactly as I wanted (8-10 grains, 2lb 9oz, no blemishes, minimal concaving etc).

Happy for you mate, but to me the price is way too high. Nonetheless, hope you make lots of runs with it.

Looks to be a very similar price and shape as a TON Gladiator Players. I know what i'd rather have based on the minefield that ebay is nowadays

Are you in Australia or UK - if you dont mind me asking.

These Kaboom guys dont seem very honest. I have had 3 customers bringing in heavier bats which have been sold to them as lighter (real weight 2.11-2.12 sold as 2.8 )

This is grade 4 bat - even has a painted back!. They are selling it 350 and calling it grade 1.

Australia. It was the usual story, the gentleman thought he had a bargain, then I showed him a genuine one.
