Hi Guys
As some of you have been to we've organised a few forum nets at Dotball over the winter - is anyone up for probably a last indoor prior to the season starting / moving outdoors, over Easter?
I've no idea on net availability thought I'd start with confirming interest.
Cheers
Andy

-
Yeah I would but depends when.
-
I don't mind coming down.
-
Dependant on day and time. I'd be interested
-
Yes sounds good.
-
That's 6 of us then, that's enough for a net, nice one
-
Right chaps I've spoken to Ian at Dotball and they've availability Monday 6th or Tuesday 7th in the evening if that suits (net with a run up)?
7pm till 8.30/9pm???
7.30pm till 9/9.30pm???
-
Tuesday best for me.
-
Either are good for me.
-
@RF
@qasim_aziz99 - are you bringing your brother?
@Lumsden
Is Tuesday 7th ok with you guys and I'll book it later?
-

Of course mate who do you play for? Based on numbers I'll book a 2 hour net - I'll update the thread later.
Someone needs to take responsibility for pics for the forum to prove that north notts, South / West Yorkshire, North Lincs branch does exist and ready to take on the southern softes 😉
Edit: net booked for Tuesday 7th April 7:30-9:30 (lane with run up). See you then - costs are obviously dependant on exact numbers but we have 8/9 (£48 in total).

I play in North Derbyshire chap, so fairly close. I am quite looking forward to this now. Obviously the actual netting element plays second fiddle to everybody's kit analysis.

Ah good stuff I'm in the Bassetlaw league and have played the likes of cutthorpe, Ashover, Alfreton, Pilsley, holmewood and a host of Chesterfield teams before the switched over to the Derbyshire league (showing my age there).
We did this on the 30th Dec and I'm guessing the willow collection on display would put a small retailer to shame!

When is this net sorry been dozy last few days not with it what date time, space ???
Maybe time to bring a few new bats I have got since last time !!

Got to handle Ryan's "quicker ball" though 😉
-
We should go for a quick pint afterwards too

Hi guys
I'm really sorry but might not be able to come to the nets on Tuesday.
-
I've stopped netting with my side, so really looking forward to this!
-
Shall I bring my little brother?
He's a decent bowler and wouldn't be that bothered about having a bat
-
Really looking forward to this net, I maybe a little late but I'm defiantly coming.

Can for me Russ - we've 2 hours so I'm sure everyone will / can have a bat
-
OK thanks
See you all Tuesday
-
I'll be a bit late tomorrow, about 8 / 8.15, my missus has just told me that she is going to Step so I have to wait for her to get home.
-
Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to rock up something has popped up with the job and I'll be away for 3 days!!!!!
Sorry lads about late notice I wanted to check out smiley new kit too
-
Is that because you don't want to face my bowling again Dave? [emoji14]
-
Big apologise family emergency came up and I've only just got home.
I may have said but other things on my mind meant I forgot.
-
Great nets this evening but I was absolutely jiggered afterwards. My stumps also got a good work out but fortunately I won't be facing Andy or the 2 lads from Derby anytime soon on a Saturday.
-
Thanks to everybody who came to the nets last night at Dotball. A fine selection of willow on display (hopefully I contributed). And to @Ams487 sorry about that beamer chap!
-
It was good to meet you Steve. Your SS looked really good, very tempted to get one now.
I enjoyed the net nice to face some different bowlers (I think).
Thanks to Andy for organising it, maybe next time we can sort something outside

I have been speaking to a friend of mine from Leeds who this season has taken over running a Leeds side called Cambridge Methodists and they are on the look out for new players for their Sunday side.
The standard of opposition varies but they have a tough match coming up a week on Sunday (3rd May) against Yorkshire Gents at Escrick Park (just off the A19 between York and Selby). It's all day game with a cooked lunch and sandwiches at tea.
They've already got some good cricketers amongst their ranks but the skipper is looking to further strengthen the team and asked me if had any suggestions. Therefore I am wondering if those who attended the DotBall nets would be interested in playing some fixtures? In fairness the skipper did not set the bar too high, he just said just make sure they are better than you !!
To check out their fixtures for 2015 see the following website. http://cambridgemethodists.play-cricket.com/ (http://cambridgemethodists.play-cricket.com/)
