The GM fanboy inside me just died a little.
Hope it was an April fool! Hales just doesn't seem like a GN player to me

He's another one the England setup have fudged up big time.
He should be playing all three formats in my opinion

How many classy players do GN have left though (although I do tend to agree), Cook/Williamson?

Non classy players now with GN?

Hales
Wright
Warner
Bairstow
D Hussey

agree, not sure there are that many 'classy' players around full stop though. GN have had to go down market just to keep their bats on the tv.

I'd imagine every maker and his dog will be after root given he's probably going to become the biggest player in the England side in all formats for the next 5 years or so, maybe even England skipper

Test Cricket??

That was one of the formats I had in mind when I said all three.

The other two were ODIs and T20 in case you were wondering  ;)

now now Adi - not being able to get in the county side on a consistent basis should be no bar to Test selection...

...just ask James Tredwell!!!
