I hadn't planned to buy a new bat but spent too much time on this forum and succumbed to bat envy :)
Just received my annual bonus and before the wife starts spending it I just have to get a new bat. Nothing too extravagant, so with £120 - 140 to spend I would love to get recommendations for an aggressive Middle order batsman who tends to try and knock the cover off almost everything, but mostly off the front foot between mid off and mid wicket. Weight preference is 2 8 or 2 9 but may go to 2 10 if had a light pick up.
There are the obvious attractions of getting an SS or SF from the sub continent (and had some great offers), but also really like the idea of a handmade bat from one of our local craftsmen (but not sure I have the budget for anything other than entry level from the latter?).
Would love to hear your suggestions particularly from forum Sponsors.
Thanks,

Get an SS Master, the stickers are pornographic! ;) :D

Yeah, been looking at those, they look good, is it you that snapped up the nice looking 5000 from OLS?

I sure you could find a very nice slightly used second hand bat from some people on the forum.
I think @vitascricket can get a custom butterfly bat from hunts County for about £105 price might have changed slightly

Thanks, but for SF I had been thinking about a Sapphire or Platinum - Waiting to see if OLS has any nice ones in stock (minus nails before anyone else quips ;) ) when their website reopens for business.

I agree, a bat from any of the makers in this forum would be great, would love to hear from them what they may have that would fit my budget..... :)
