So today was my first chance to try out my new masuri vision elite helmet in the nets, and WTF I had to remove it after only 4 balls faced. When the ball was pitched up I completely lost sight of the ball, the top bar seemed to loom large in my eye line?. Do others have experiences wearing this helmet for the first time, is it something that can be rectified or you just get used to it?.

they are being used by a lot of pros so we must be in minority but once it starts playing on your mind you will never really get used to it, i went back to original

Is it steel or titanium mate? And what colour?
Best sell it now ;)

It is steel, colour blue, but that has nothing to do with it :o

Not at all, but if it had been green and titanium I someone might have made you an offer to buy it ;)

I wore a helmet for the first time in a next the other day and I couldn't see anything. So I can imagine it being bad if you add bars. You see it when it leaves the hand, then you loose it until its under your nose. Very nasty!

I would suggest not passing judgement after 4 balls. Perhaps use a bowling machine to face similar deliveries consistently and get used to things, then go to real bowlers to introduce variation
If you can see both bars you are wearing it at the incorrect angle.

Not had any issues with mine, weird at first but it's barely any difference apart from the weight but you get used to that

Bit early to judge after just 4 balls? But if you don't get on with it then you don't get on with it...

hated mine too, moved back to the old style Masuri.. well, shrey but it's the same thing. Got 4 now so I've stocked up for the next 3 seasons.
