Anyone have a definitive opinion on clearance bats ? Wouldn't the best pinging bats be gone at the start of the season, and whatever's left over be complete dead planks ?
Anybody here gotten any real belters at ridiculous bargain basement rates ?

Make sure you know the brand/batmaker and you can't really go wrong. I have found many belters in the clearance sectíon.

Picked up my best bat in a clearance deal. Was overlooked I guess for a couple of scuffs but is the best bat I own at half the cost of the others

Do you not think that it may be possible for a bat to mature and improve with use.
Most bats do come good in the end, some sooner some later.

Most on here never keep a bat long enough to find out! (Myself included in the past) :-[

My two bats I own were steals for what I paid! About this time 2 year ago I got a GN Quatro Grade 1 for £38 from Sports Direct! Then about 8 month ago got an Adidas Pellara V4 grade 1 again for £47ish from the Adidas outlet store at a retail park about 15 minutes away from me! Just what I need for the level I play at for bargain prices!

Well I got a powerbow 5* for £64 from ssports direct and as been my match bat for 1 season already and probably will be for the upcoming one the only feature on it that i can see as putting someone off is the eart wood hard a really really dark grain in it from a dry season of growth which o assume people thought was bad. I have had no problems with it thus far.

if you buy top grade ones in clearance you should get a decent bat.
Still there is a risk which one should be ready to take.
if you are going to buy 1 or 2 bats in the season then go for a genuine source who will show you the bat before buying.
you will have better satisfaction that way
