Was just about to post this. Very sad news

-
Cricket wont be the same.

:(
Terrible news
-
RIP Richie!!!
-
The voice of cricket! Unbiased commentary at it's best
Will be missed!
-
Sad news. What a tremendous loss to cricket. In 44 years, I've never known the game without him.
What a uniquely gifted commentator, remarkable all-rounder and successful Aussie captain.
And a modest, decent, well-loved man the world over. He'll be very much missed.
Goodbye Richie. Thanks for all the super stuff you've done.
Marvellous.

Always loved Richie's commentary and thoughts of the game.
-
CMJ, Greig, Benaud, cricket TV coverage will never be the same again.
-
Another terrible news for cricket. He was voice of cricket.
-
Terribly sad. RIP
-
Rest in piece.
Thoughts with his family and friends.
-
Irreplaceable RIP
-
"And that's Glenn McGrath dismissed for two, just 98 short of his century"
RIP Richie.
-
I once had the pleasure of being introduced to him at The Oval several years ago; he had time and grace to spend a few minutes with the many many people trying to get an autograph or shake his hand.
A true Gentleman as well as an outstanding cricketer and broadcaster; he will indeed be sorely missed.
RIP Richie.
-
I started watching cricket during the 1985 ashes series and his commentary made watching the game as much fun as seeing Gower bat all summer long. He was as much a part of my cricket life as picking up a bat. An absolute legend of the game-impartial, insightful and always maintained his integrity.
Will never be bettered, rest in peace Richie

This.

Or as ‘Bill Lawry’ might say, “Vale the great man, vale”.
-
RIP Richie.

There can't be too many Australian cricketers who were loved by the English fans. This picture from the bbc website today just sums up how much he was adored by the cricketing public. Johnners and Benaud were my absolute favourites growing up. It'll never be the same without them, a very sad day. A true legend, RIP.
-
Rip Ritchie, my voice of cricket. Never forgotten
-
Another terrible news for cricket. He was voice of cricket.
True dat
Sad news for the game as true fans loved his commentary
-
I've just got something in my eye...
Absolute gent, and amazing commentator. Not least because he was often just quiet and enjoying the cricket when it got really tense. Might have to watch 2005 coverage to hear him.

RIP Richie Benaud
-
The moment I remember in his commentary, as many have said is the fact he timed his pauses in speech perfectly. What he didn't say was as important as what he did.
Edgbaston 05...... Jones.......................Bowden!
Goosebumps! RIP Ritchie
-
Kasprowicz the man to go. I will never forget the end of that test match and that is as much down to Richie as it was the result. RIP
-
Was the voice of cricket in my youth - i'm actually gutted.
Like the passing of Bill McLaren or Sid Waddell - the sport will never sound the same again to so many people.
RIP Richie (In passing, you have given the Aussies another motivation to come over here and give us a hammering this summer!)
-
RIP Richie Benaud. Truly the Voice of Cricket.
