Title: Respecting our Sponsers
Post by: Seniorplayer on April 13, 2015, 10:28:44 AM
Having just read the forum code of conduct post from yesterday re non Sponser retailer selling I am a little confused to why non Sponser batmakers are allowed to sell on the forum.
Also with regard to the Batmakers Shed is there a time span or are there   forum  rules no longer allowing Batmakers to sell via the forum as emerging Batmakers hobbyists etc and they are invited to become a forum Sponser ?.

I may not have made my post clear... I will take a look.
But non-sponsor bat makers aren't allowed to sell either - unless they are in the batmakers shed.

The "shed" was designed to help promote guys who were just starting out as batmakers give them the opportunity to showcase their wears while they were learning the art. Once the firm becomes a brand and gets bags/softs, then they are asked to move to the next level.

I hope that is clear.

This is the custom bats forum - we absolutely want to promote new batmakers and ideally to give them a platform to help them start their business.

Thanks Buzz                                                                                                                                                                    Have to agree the Batmakers shed is a great platform for up and coming batmakers to showcase there skills as they progress but the volume of bats that they sell via the shed should if possible be monitored  as there's an oppotunity to request them to become a forum Sponser.

Buzz,

I totally agree with the need to respect the Forum Sponsors, and have clear rules around selling through this forum.

One idea though – I assume the more sponsors you have the better for the forum as the members as have more choice and better protection (as they are dealing with a  sponsor rather than a random retailer).  So maybe you could offer the non-sponsor retailers that have had their accounts restricted the opportunity to be sponsors themselves so they actively support the forum? If they decline then their accounts could stay restricted.

Any of the retailers have the opportunity to become sponsors of the forum...once they meet the criteria of becoming a sponsor of course... And breaking the rules isn't one of the criteria.... These are put into place to protect the members of this forum from being ripped off.... Which has happened on more than one occasion on this forum
