My Chase 150 finback
No, wait, an old GM Purist
No, my Chase 175 Beluga
Nope, actually it was my Wasp Sting 1000 (went like a tramp on meth off the butterfly stain!)
No, it could be my SS Limited Edition
My verdict - I've owned too many bats... :-[
-
Newbery GT335 player.
Or a Blueroom Bombora.
Both quite close.
-
For me it was a warsop that was made for Ravi bopara it pinged so well shame it only lasted just over a season
-
1) RPC
2) h4l
3) Blueroom
4) kook kahuna 1000
5) GN IGnite
-
Can't choose between my instinct, dynadrive, b3 1271 lb or SAF Hades. All are, performance wise, guns and are the bats that have remained/will remain in my collection.

Laver PB in M & H mid 90s shape, weighed 2.6 but hit some massive 6's with it.
-
CA 10000...handle was replace a couple of times but still was a killer
For now H4l devil has started showing signs of greatness;)
-
1. Affinity Persona
2. M&H Amplus
-
GN legend from 2011
GN legend twin scoop
Lara 501
-
Salix SLX Grade 1 just pings with a huge profile.
Loosely followed by a M&H Harliquin And my GN oblivion e41.
-
D&P south african thing
or my current Bellingham and smith assegai 3*
-
Hands down my SS Gladiator is the best bat I've ever owned performance wise.
2nd would probably be my Malik Limited Edition.
-
My Duncun Fernley Power Max Pro which I got circa 1994 - finally got rid of it in 2012 ( I had about 4/5 years off of cricket in between)
I was sad to see it go but now have a Newbury GT 5star which is a lovely bat. Wish I'd have kept the Fernley as a keep sake now.
-
Current match bat - CA8000 but sadly she won't be used this season :(
-
Duncan Fearnley Magnum
-
Easily a Gray Nic Fusion Players.
It had the carbon fibre handle and the ball came off it that well it was basically cheating. The handle snapped eventually (as they all did I think?) and it's still a decent stick after the repair..........but not the same.........
-
B3 mullanator
B3 3 stripe
Kook biggest kahuna
Affinity custom
To be fair I've had far too many bats. And only a few have been duds. Rest have been more than good enough to score runs in the right hands.
-
I have a really grainy Aldred Gold Sovereign butterfly 1 at the minute and it's definitely right up there, it's an absolute weapon.
-
My current Kudos Player is a gun, but a little behind my old Purist Original. That thing went like a train anywhere off the face once it opened up.
-
I have newly promoted my battered old Malinga 'Badidas' bat to the top, as it scored me my first ever 50.
I don't know if I mentioned that at all?

A 50??
-
Two that spring to mind are my H4L Hattori, which has flown consistently for the last three years, and a Newbery B52XL which was amazing for about a year, though its more or less dead now.
-

Had my trusty Newbery Thruxton 5 star for 4 years now. Refurbed it three times all done by Newbery and it's still going strong. Paid £95 for it brand new and it's still a gun. Has seen off a Laver PB, two Blank bats (sorry guys) and two redbacks all top of the range.
Bat in the middle.

GN Pro Performance with titanium in the handle cannot remember the model brought it from the Edgebaston County ground shop around 2008 cost me 275.00
-
RPC - easy!!
-
Bradbury Sterling for opening picks up like a feather. Canterbury 500 for when I get going, has a middle like a thing with a middle in it. Both ebay thirty quid each then refurbished.
-
H4l Hattatori, except for the bottom 2 inches the ball pings from everywhere.
-
Very intresting that there have been no uzi pro bats that has made the cut. Waiting for ca_gold lol.
-
All top bats i have no doubt.
I'd be interested to know whether it was the profile that suited your game, and whether your current bat is similar in terms of profile or wood distribution.
Slaz V12 for me, was a beauty - the old humped ones.
-
Chase custom acquired off here, might have been the batmakers, she was a beauty!
After that, A Talisman stickered Newbery GT with a hairline crack in the toe, scored me barrels of runs, but a bit of a risk!
-
Concaved ss limited edition buy a country mile
-
In no particular order as some were better in different situations.
Salix Praestantia Grade 1
GN Monster
Duncan Fernley Classic - My brother's
SS Turob Grand Prix
-
My Current H4L Hellfire goes like a steamtrain, and is closely followed by a pair of SSH Warsop Butterflies i had about 6-7 years ago, one of them cracked next to the handle and wasn't the same after it had a new handle fitted and the other one i still have, and have just done a bit of a refurb on it (sorry forgot to take pics, cardinal sin, i know) still goes well, just the middle seems to be getting smaller each time i use it!
And i've got to say, they have just a couple of small Butterfly marks on them, some of the bats i see being passed off as 'Butterfly' these days just look horrible Grade 4's!
-

2. BB gold/affinity carbine.
3 M&H CK22/BB T20.
4. B&S impi.

Newbery Merlin 8 Star (the one with the counter balance).
Recently, it's been a Matrixxx (I don't know the model but that is the branding on it) that I got off one of our old overseas players, unfortunately it's split.
-
m&h distinction
h4l
-
H4L PRO VS BB GOLD VS UZI PRO VS LAVER + WOOD RESERVE
Anyone which one to get for this season as thy are all about the same price ?
-
GN Evo 5 Star bought from Sports Direct for £50, lovely thing, handle now cracked.
-
Performance wise,, my Affinity Toro
Scored easiest 50 with it an hour after Marcus had put the stickers on it!
Over 1300 runs last season with it
-
SS Limited Ed. was thinking of selling it before the start of the past season, but once it was fully knocked in, it was just great. Proper preparation of bats is key. And patience.
-
Absolutely delighted to feature in this thread.
-
Laver & Wood Carbo Firefly
-
H4L Hattori, absolute beauty of a bat followed by my GM Hero 808.
-
The bats I've bought while being a member haven't had a fair crack of the whip yet so it has to be my CA 10,000.
Our ground isn't the biggest but it was nice to send one over the trees at long on with this.
I've taken it to a few bat makers on here to show what I was looking for. All have tapped it up and said something similar to, 'Yep, nice bats them'.
Usual comments about them being too dry, don't last and being academy size apply.
-
Off all the best I've owned,
Biggest Spartan authority way too good for me,
Nicest pick up RPC
Best profile Bb hulk scored over 250 runs with it last season playing t20 and last man standing well happy
Unknown aspect my Kook Cadejo players which will be netted with tomorrow and used on Saturday if all is good
-
Salix Praestantia and a Newbery Uzi
They are long retired and can't pick between the two and not found bats like them since!
I'll keep searching though of course!
-
Woodworm premiere Torch
-
Puma T20 although a H4L comes close.
-
Laver & Wood Carbo Firefly
eeeeeeeeee!! Now that were a shape!
-
Kookaburra Big Kahuna from 2005ish, literally all middle below the splice.
-
Laver and Wood heritage. Scored a hundred in its first match and never looked back.
-
I have a Salix fera that still goes like a gun!
Waiting for my hunts from Jake that hopefully will do the same and more
-
Most productive was a salix fera too! Grains were not all that and it's a toothpick compared to some of the new bats out today!
-
A Vantage Lithium. Literally was the "King of the Pingers". A close second is a back in the day Slaz V-12. Went like an absolute rocket.
None of my dozen or so other bats have ever manager to come close to these 2.
-
H4L PRO VS BB GOLD VS UZI PRO VS LAVER + WOOD RESERVE
Anyone which one to get for this season as thy are all about the same price ?
For me Uzi pro wins bb are very nice bats laver will take a season to get ready then it will put on 3 ounces
-
My best bat that I have owned is named "Ned".
-
I've got a GN Evo Carbo that I bought from Tim (i think) which has scored me many, many runs over the last 3 years or so. It's just got lovely balance.
Performance-wise I've also got a Redback which I bought from here - it had old Slaz stickers on, someone might remember it - but it's a bit too heavy for me so even though it's a great bat it doesn't get much use.
-
This was Saurav Ganguly's personal bat that I was lucky to acquire. It was stickerd as SS Ton LE (old black and gold stickers).
Before me even telling anyone about the history of the bat, many folks praised it's shape, balance and pickup. A few even requested to bat with it in a match.
I sent it to UK for rehandlig, and obviously it got lost in UK customs. Ouch !!!!!
I don't think any bat that I have ever used can come close to it. I so dearly miss it.
But my second best would be Redback Allegiance. This was Gary's personal bat that he had used in a couple of games. At 2.7ish, it was a delight.
A good friend snatched it off of me but I became a Redback fan since then.
Couple of years ago I acquired a personal bat from Misbah ul Haq. It's stickerd as CA 10000 LE. Grains and cosmetics are supreme. I haven't got a chance to play with it. It just sits in my closet.

Out of interest are CA's players bats full size or smaller like their normal models?
-
1271 b3 best bat by a mile a country mile in every term once I got it messed with at b3.
So good the face hS come away and I'm going to get a new face on it and laminate it
One of a kind
Second to that a laver pb I used till it well died and got a couple of potential bag in the sky candidates
-
My SG T45 Ultimate and New Balance TC1260. Both 2.11 & 10 straight even grains. ST Profiles.
-
The first GM icon dxm, 808. Stolen and a piece has been missing from me ever since
-
Dukes Pro Century. It had a jumbo profile and went like a train. Hit loads of sixes with it and when people comment on how hard you are hitting the ball, you know it's a good stick. Broke after 800 odd runs at 70 :-(, the replacement was never the same. Honourable mention for my current GM Icon 808 and my DF Magnum - my first adult bat.
-
Blueroom traditional profile 2'9 it's the best bat in the world.
Just about to go into it's third season with over 1000 runs and plenty of net practice under its belt.
Rob's just given it a refurb and it looks good as new.
You cannot beat a blueroom!

The blade is half an inch taller than a regular bat.

Yes you can lol
Every bat can be beaten, there is no ' best bat'

@dilscoop
I have no idea what you were trying to say, but if you came out with something like that in front of me you'd need an emergency dentist appointment very shortly after. It came accross as very disrespectful!
-
screaming cat for me, my Carbine is getting very close tho currently and is still being fully kncoked in having used it towards the tail end of last season
-
GM Icon 606

PM me your address mate, lets see what you got then ?
-
Really!! :)
I can only assume your joking with us. This isn't really the place to offer people out, it's a bit wasted on most of us, this is a place for like-minded people to nerd about kit.
-
So you're basically saying you were being disrespectful to a dead man the @dilscoop?
You could have simply said you didn't mean anything malicious and explained what you meant, but you decided to give it the big one instead...
-
And as the going rate for a punch up is apparently $100million now (it said on the tellybox) you best bring cheque book with you mate. ;)

Not sure that's the going rate for a couple of keyboard warriors.

Keyboard warrior? I have an iPhone thank you very much so no physically present keyboard in sight.
And to be fair I'm up for anything in exchange for a pint and a packet of peanuts...

I didn't really though? I just said if anyone said that in front of me they'd need to visit the dentist.
For all you know my big mate with a temper might've been responsible!
-
Dear or dear !!!!
-
You are all very naughty boys! (although Dilscoop is notable by his absence) - now shape up and start talking about kit and not seeing who has the biggest winkle!
-
I can't believe my throwaway comment I made in jest has caused so much fun and excitement, nothing on telly tonight?? :D
-
You sir, made a bolshy - but ultimately forgivable comment. Mr Scoop took it a stage further and moved into rather silly, macho bullshit territory.
Winkles away and wood out!
-
lol you guys

I think you should settle it like men!
Game of Brian laura cricket over the internet

Brian Laura - was he a trans-sexual?

Brian Laura - was he a trans-sexual?
Normally transexual change there first name to something lady like. Not sure changing you second name will have the same effect.......
fat fingered autocorrect.

Brian Laura - was he a trans-sexual?
Isn't that what you call an all rounder? Bit of both? :-)
Could be a fun new game/thread. Change a letter or add one to make a different name but funny.
