Title: Puma batting pads - used by Brendon McCullum
Post by: avkrish on May 03, 2015, 08:06:45 AM
Hi

Just wanted to check if anyone knows who makes these pads now (hope the link to the photo works).

http://i1296.photobucket.com/albums/ag4/avkrish/BM%2001_zps8gri3mak.jpg (http://i1296.photobucket.com/albums/ag4/avkrish/BM%2001_zps8gri3mak.jpg)

I have been looking for these in SMALL MENS LEFT HAND variant for quite a while but could not find any. Can these be custom made?

Can any of the experts on the forum help?

Ajith

Saw him wearing these at the World Cup.. Searched long and hard, found them on Greg Chappell cricket centre.
Atleast I thought I did. Go on their website they are listed as Puma Evospeed 1 SE WC. They are the same as the ones in your photo. Although I must WARN you they sent me a pair of plain Evospeed 1s and want to know nothing about it..

Anyway if you want Puma Fxt pads which these are keep an eye out on prodirectcricket, they infact had a new pair out on may the 1st.. Think it's sold out now tho

I have a pair and they can be used left or right handed due to velcro inserts. I would ask the seller before purchasing though

those Greg Chappell ones are not the same pads. Those are two strap, use to be called pulse and now evospeed.  and mcculum wears 3 strap fxts

Hi fellow Forum members, I honestly appreciate the time a few of you took to help me out. I finally managed to get a pair from India. The link to the photo is below (again, hope it works. I still have not worked out how to paste photos in posts).

This is ambidextrous, a few minor adjustments to the inside padding and it will suit both RH & LH batsmen.

Thanks again for the help.

Please try the below link; I too am not sure whether they will be ready to ship abroad; no harm in trying though. In fact I tried emailing the seller but did not get any response. Finally I got it through a colleague who was then in India.
