Love that profile. So nice without the usual Kook concaving.

Maybe he wanted to try one but didn't get on with the extra length, hence this was rejected?

What was the bat that split in two when he was batting against the Aussies a while back? It was stickered up as a Kook.

If it had Kook stickers it must have been a Kook ;)
Although Haddin said it was a Gray Nics into the stump cam, andCarbs said "Stuart, you're useless" so make of that what you will :D
-
Ah, so that's what he said. Couldn't work it out.
So from that we can safely assume it was a Kook and definitely not made by GN's master batmaker, then. Absolutely not. Nope. No way. :-[

Haddin is a kooka user as well so might have been bit cheeky in saying it was gn. Maybe?

That's why I said make of that what you will.
Could've been a bit of banter, could've been more. We'll never know!

I don't want to turn this into a name dropping thing, I do know Stu from GN quite well and I have met Haddin a few times. Apart from those 2 things you would need to be 3/4 imbecile to see it any other way than Haddin having a joke.

Why do the fun police have to come out?
It was clearly a joke, but I was enjoying the "3/4 imbeciles" believing Stuey K had made it :-[

The English were in Australia for the Ashes - so not too far fetched to have current bats made from local bat makers (the only large scale bat making setup in Australia being GN and Stuart their main maker)
The point is Stuart could have indeed made the bat - no biggie if he really did and the bat broke. Can happen to any bat from any maker. Players get bats from as many places as they can. They (aussies, english even Pak players) have been getting loads of bats from even smaller companies on their tours to india or during IPL. I am sure the aussies would have been picking bats from English makers while on tour there.
But again, they could be just joking in that video- we can never be sure.
Skip, you could ask Stu about it - but will he own up to a broken bat on telly? ;) (and rightly so since most of the naive will think its the makers fault it broke etc - most on this forum are knowledgeable enough to know better)
