Title: What I have always wanted
Post by: SOULMAN1012 on May 10, 2015, 08:36:43 PM
Managed to pick up this beauty, lovely Scat professional. Pings like a pro bat little delaminated but doesn't effect performance and to be honest I don't care, ruler straight grains and minimal edge profile with no concaving, huge spine and weight is 2.8
Shame can't get new stickers or original grips again but a true keeper will be used on special occasions only

looks like a decent purchase.

mine is now on the shelf for prosperity, regret selling on the 2nd one i bought as a spare now but at the time i had far too many bats knocking around to justify.

You have no idea how jealous I am right now!

As for the sanding job, will you be attempting to go round the stickers a bit closer or leaving it as it is to avoid causing any unnecessary damage?

Before anyone jumps up and down or down my throat I have reluctantly had to sell this due to some personal circumstances iv been going through. I have also had to sell other bats and equipment I did t want to part with.
I am also shocked beyond belief at the price and how quickly it went up and I stopped at that as there was still 5 days to go but I am not greedy and believe at £310 even for a Scat that's madness but haho.

Sold mine to DanW for 170 or something like that. Turned out it was the Series 3, not Series 1, and he was considering returning it to me for a refund. I was open to it, but then he went quiet. I think I know why now! :D

Have you still got the Pros Hellfire you got from Matt or did you sell it?

Chris, why stop the auction if you're in a pickle? If the description was correct and somebody wanted to pay for it, what's wrong with that?

Personally I would have either offered it back to the guy who sold it to you (nobody lets these things go easily) in refurbished condition without making a loss or let it run and share the profits with him (like as you said it didn't sit well with you).

Chad, I thought DanW sold it to you in the first place? I must be mistaken because then he would have known which series it was.

I think Chris should be aplauded for calling time on the auction.

I'm not that way inclined mate, I was over the moon with that price it's loads more than I expected and I just felt that was enough for a used bat. Plus the person who bought it asked early offered me a set price and he made that offer so I accepted.
I have also spoke and offered off my own back something for the person I acquired this from. I did not force the person to sell to me but felt it was right to offer something back to that person.
