Where are you playing?
I may be looking for a game as our Sat team is struggling at the moment to get enough players.
To some extent it would depend where you are playing and if our game is on as I cannot cope with two games in a weekend.

Home matches on Calverley Lane just off the Ring Road.

Yes I will be but have not actually played yet (first match is later today). The guy who now runs it is looking for new players and asked me to try to generate some interest. I don't think it is too serious, basically Sunday afternoon cricket where there is a good mixture of playing abilities.

Dave Britton?
Is big Steve Bindman still playing? A few forum members are familiar with his work! ;)

I know Steve Bindman (originally through indoor cricket) and yes he played today but Dave Britton did not (although someone mentioned his name so I assume he still plays when available). On arrival I was asked to captain Cambridge Methodists and we won by 5 wickets with a couple of overs to spare in what turned out to be a very good game of cricket. Fortunately the opposition wanted to bat first so this gave me the opportunity to give everyone who wanted to bowl, a 4 over spell. The best bowler came back to clean up the tail which meant we were set a target of 147 which we overhauled thanks in no small part to a mate who I brought along scoring 66 not out.

We need a couple of players this Sunday if anyone fancies a game. It's not the greatest standard of cricket but friendly. Home match on Calverley Lane which is off the ring road near Horsforth.
