i have got a new ss gladiator. I was carefully tring to peel off the bar code sticker and some wood peeled off with the sticker.
Should i cut off the peeling wood or put some bat tape on it or do nothing and apply a scuff sheet.
Advice would be appreciated thanks.
Really Annoyed :(

I guess you were taking the sticker off against the grain?
I would say that you should stick a scuff on if its on the lower part of the bat.

Same thing happened to me. PVA. Clamp. Light sand. Wax or scuff sheet. WI'll look like new and won't affect it in anyway... Hopefully!

i cut off loose bit of peeling wood, and applying some bat tape on it ?
Thoughts ? or to apply Mesh Anti-Scuff Bat Protection Sheet to hide it ?

I would do this. It will be invisible then. No need to add the scuff sheet if you don't want to.

well if you separate the wood from the sticker, apply the pva carefully, try to put the slither of wood back into the groove from which it has been torn, then remove excess glue after you press the wood into place, then use either a weight or clamp.leave overnight, then sand and wax. For me it was a very fine slither of wood which turned into a fine ringlet or wood shaving which instantly curled up, so while I was deciding what to do (ie contact a bat maker) and to stop the slither from going too out of shape I just straightened the piece out and pushed it back in and left a book on it. Massive book.
