Post by: simonmay5 on May 29, 2015, 12:30:23 PM
I got in contact with ryan about two months ago saying was looking for him to make me a new bat he went though things and was brilliant to deal with keeping me updated thought the making off the bat he gave me choice off cleft and was made to my speck ryan deserves a lot more praise than he gets his bats are under 200 pounds for a custom grade one bat that is a bargain for sure and he makes a very good bat indeed

Why spend over £400 on all this Ltd Edition malarkey when you can get that - cracking bit of willow, top stuff Ryan.

Another lovely example of Mr Kelsalls work! I swung by his workshop a couple of weeks ago to pick up a repair job and had a look at some of the bats been worked on, I must say the finish is really top top class!

Agree with everyone's comments here, Ryan certainly knows how to shape and finish a bat. I have one, which is 2lb 10.8oz dressed, and a pretty decent size! Excellent pick up, and the finishing is superb, better than many other brands. From experience, the best finishes, barring Laver and Salix, have been Red Ink, RK and Newbery/TK.

Thanks for the review Simon, very happy with your comments.  It's interesting to see where my bats compare with others and it sounds like you've owned a couple [emoji14]

Si's done it again!  :D

Fab looking bat mate....

Just out of interest.. which bats are you regularly using?

I've cut down to 3 bats now.. one Affinity Ayrtek going really well.. have an Affinity Carbine Sport to be knocked in with a New Balance DC 1080 waiting at home in the UK...

Hi Simon - I don't know if we are all jumping on your thread here - but I too have a cheeky, chunky monkey coming from Ryan.

I'm just waiting on some finished pictures, but here's a little teaser!

Nice bat Simon. Top shelf. Looks good for a long innings hitting to all parts of the oval.

The side profile on Chads bat reminds me of my Tonto profile before I shortened it. Lovely looking willow and that handle looks heavily customised like the stock of a marksman's rifle.
Beautiful craftsmanship Ryan. Hitting LIKE on your Facebook page now.

Lovely bats.
