Mine are three seasons old, ropey as hell, look disgusting, but they still grip the same and none of the padding is loose. I don't understand why people buy new gloves every season? Is it just for the sake of having a new thing or is there something I'm missing?

Probably. I'm into my third season using my GN Legends which I think were second hand bought from here if I remember correctly. They are fine and actually look fairly new still. My Legend leg pads on the other hand are starting to get a bit ropey looking.

For me. The more I use gloves the quicker they sweat up and become slippery. I don't wear inners which results in gloves not lasting as long. I don't like sweaty gloves in games so usually have a couple new pairs per season.

Perhaps because I change my grips so often, but even dripping wet, I never lose my grip on the handle, and my gloves are usually like you've dipped them in a bucket of water after 15 overs.

In answer to the original question, as with most items of kit on here, it's when you spot something newer, and shinier. Ooh, shiny, shiny..... ;)
