Post by: FvanN on June 05, 2015, 08:49:54 PM
1st game of the season tomorrow after tearing my knee ligaments twice since september. Excited but sadly nowhere near 100% fit. Anybody else struggling with injury's?

Knee injury myself. Torn cartilage, have been waiting weeks to see specialist. Tried to make a return 3 weeks ago and lasted 6 balls before knee gave way. Now resigned to my season being over!

I hear you. I had an MRI a month ago, had an appointment for the results on 4 June. Got a letter on 2 June saying it had been postponed until 2 July. Thanks NHS. However, I had the same on the other knee a few years ago. Thankfully at the time I was living in NZ? Got seen, scanned and operated on in no time, was running around again within a week. so, once done you should look forward to full mobility. Currently I'm struggling, the knee clicks in and out all the time, much pain.

Certainly does.. Feel for you bud, my son suffers from really bad eczema and he is allergic to grass which causes him all sorts of bother during and after playing. But he still turns up ☺

Patella tendinitis, managing it at the moment with some very painful physio. Strangely fine to keep wicket but running singles is a little sore.

Had an ACL tear in March got operated in April and the road to recovery is a painful 6-9 months. More pain sitting in the sidelines watching my team loose. :(

I have something wrong with the left elbow (tennis elbow?), right knee is very sore and I tweaked the muscle at the front of my thigh (quad) - fortunately I'm largely stationary in the field, so no-one has noticed :)

Ah perfect thread, where to begin.......

I have a slight tear in my right ACL which I did 10 years ago playing football, I wear a big knee brace but it's still swollen from my game 2 weeks ago (so I'll be grazing in the outfield).

Same game I tweaked my hamstring so that's still a bit tight

Then not forgetting me surgically repaired achilles joint to my heel which I feel when bowling!

All in all the umpiring role is calling me!

Missed end of last season and all winter with dodgy shoulder, just got back to full fitness, before damaging my knee on Saturday. Seems consistent with a lateral tear of the meniscus, but I was able to weight bear on Sunday, so I'm hoping I'll only miss one or two games bowling and may be back batting before then.

So far, in the 4! Matches I've played this season, I have:

Broke my toe, taking a catch!!
Split my lip, whilst standing in as an emergency keeper
and now got a horrible feeling I've knackered up my shoulder again.

Feels like my old body(42yrs) is trying to tell me something😢

Struggling to walk at mo. Done something to my groin going for a quick single sat.

Already out wed. Currently icing it 3 times a day, start loght stretching tomoz, and light exercise the day after hoping I be fine for sat. As its biggest game of season.

Us and top(last years champs) both unbeaten in 6 games, play each other sat. Trust me to be injured for that when I was in the form of my life.

I think you'll have to write it off mate - can't hurry that one.
