Title: Favourite Company
Post by: Danny on May 17, 2008, 08:35:34 PM
What is your favourite major brand (not custom made)
Mine is Salix at the moment but I have found a few GN beauties in the Lancs shop at the weekend.

Newbery used to be good until they switched from full hand making what I'll refer to as 'other methods'

Bats wise not sure, possibly BAS. Soft goods, like the Slazenger pads and gloves but tend to get my own made up.

For me it has to be Kookaburra, I love the look of their soft goods, and some of their bats have huge profiles for the weight.

Puma for their consistency with the soft goods, and their radical styling. But Gunn and Moore for pure quality allround kit. However in temrs of bats, it has to be Newberrys

Ahh jeeez

Would you have brought their kit if they didn't 'SPONSOR' you? erm no...

Explains it all...

i'm not sure you can have aero as you're favourite. As if you had only thier kit you'd just have a set of batting a keeping pads, thigh pad, and a stupid hockey grip.

Soft Goods: Puma- Simply outstanding quality
Bats: I'm not sure you can give a particular brand as it's all to do with willow, but i do love the Warsop Schmiter Bow profile

I would have to say M&H aswell, though i think this years soft goods look grim...had a Harlequin that lasted for 5 years that and went like a train from day one - H

yeah i agree, the soft goods look really bad, but i dont think there performance is too bad as a mate of mine bought a package deal not long ago and hes very happy with them. Hopefully my bat will give me another 4 seasons like your harlequin!

Gloves - Salix &SS (though like the 2009 RP Kahuna's too)

Pads: Warsop Spindrift & Puma

Bats - No specific preference, but guess choice will be BAS, Newbery or Warsop

Shoes - Asics & Puma

Helmet - Masuri

Other protection - Aero P1 and box
