Right having had two samples turn up this morning I have positioned the grill holes etc to give a rough idea of what the helmet would look like. The helmet is in its raw state currently so you lucky lot get to see what it looks like in a raw state. Still some work to be done on them such as trimming the vent holes so ventilation is present but hope you can see how our design process works now.
As you can see it is constructed from 100% carbon and Kevlar not merely a veneer layer on top of fibreglass etc. This is where the helmets strength and lightweight properties come from and when paired with the liner help to improve the safety aspect as well. Anyway enough nattering onto the pictures.....

Look forward to hearing your views, feedback and thoughts upon it. ???
Cheers
Tom

I like.. any idea on pricing yet?
-
Will be in the same region as the other helmets as a first thought, certainly wont be cheaper due to the high end materials being used in making them.
-
That works for me too!
Nice styling and a little different than other helmets - Superb! ;D
Keep that eye for detail open Tom!
-
looks nice sell it like that looks cool with no paint on!! and then people can spray it their own colour!!
-
Really love the vents! Can't wait to put my order in..
-
wow!
-
tom could you actually sell them like that??
kinda like it like that. Helmet looks great too, good job!
-
Yes they can be supplied like this which was our original intention until the Pro's said that the glare from them would cause problems for them! Nobody wants another Dickie Bird shouting at them for a glare off of their helmet!!!!
Although with the English climate i doubt we will see any sun to cause such issues at the moment.
-
Looks a quality helmet, well done!
-
I half regret getting the other lid seeing this one now! :)

yeah can't see glare being a problem in sunny england :P, or for any of us major pros!. Definately prefer the shell like that!
-
Cheers Chaps, glad 1st impressions are positive, helped to gauge interest from the concept drawings and take feedback on board at that stage about the vents etc. Hope the final version lived upon expectations!
If people show interest in ordering it may well be pushed through for a public launch as several Pro's have been awaiting its arrival patiently
-
well you set a price, we'll order! especially if i can get one as it is!
-
yeah think i will too!
looks better than my masuri, which i love...looks like this may help ayrtek take offffff and compete properly with the big boys !
-
Haha bit of work to do yet as will need to be BSI approved again and rubber stamped with a certificate again.
As mentioned earlier i would expect the Carbon fibre version to be £99.00 RRP from our webshop but this obviously is subject to change dependant on material costs changing between now and public launch for instance! So don't hold me to it in 4 months time should BSI get their work done on them in good time ;)
Perhaps i should have uploaded the pics of the modern shell without any paint on them as well lol
-
i'm sure you did as i can swear i've seen it before! but may have been on cricketsupplies?
-
Oh yeh probably!
sent one out to a lad in America who had a raw state version supplied, getting old mate my memory is going after seeing all these helmets!
-
Tom have you thought about putting some ear pieces on the grille? I know some people like it without and some like it with? Personally i prefer ear pieces and also it provides another 'surface' for designing/customising etc?
-
think they originally were going to however the pros preferred them without so they went down that route....
-
Indeed Sammy, yeah we supplied some with and they just ended up being taken off anyway so we haven't gone down the route of having a tool formed to cater for this. It wouldn't take long to sort out but with all the options for customising the helmet we didn't think that having different coloured ear pads would be such a big issue.
Obviously for other brands this is the only customisation they offer which is where we have tried to set ourselves apart from the rest.
-
Did you sayglare mate lol!!! This England it rains most of the time lol!!! But it would be nice if you supplied it like that!!! The we could spray it up in our own Colours and put or own club or county Motifs on!! As here in Devon our cricket caps for playing for the county are a dark green with our griffin on the front. Damn shame as i have just bought a Puma ballistic helmet for £30.00 brand new and i would have rather had a helmet from you unfinished as shown in the pics.
-
Ok fair enough Tom, thing is im after a new helmet for this season, I have a maroon masuri but as ive moved clubs it no longer is club colours as the new colour is blue. Im think im attached to the grille. . . so how much would a navy blue shell cost me?
-
Dan prices for the helmet don't differ with our without the grille as the grille covers a small margin of the overall cost, you are obviously free to do with the steel grille supplied as you wish to recoup some of the outlay on the helmet perhaps.
Blue isn't a problem as its obviously a stock colour that we will get out to you once the order is received, pushing orders through at the moment for the pre Xmas deliveries for Santa to wrap up!!
-
Ok cheers well will give it some thought and get back to you
