Just going to throw this out there. Does Sam Northeast warrant a T20 opportunity for England? A couple of outstanding seasons at T20 level in county cricket, I believe top run scorer this year so far and in top 3 last season.
Just another young attacking player that's not scared to give it a slap. Plus I'm a due heart kent fan.

Hell of a lot more than what Topley does

I think Topley has been unlucky with injury, but he gets wickets.
Northeast maybe - interesting to see how Vince goes.

he always seems to perform well against somerset. cant see any harm in giving him a go
-
I think Northeast has only scored the volume of runs this season to be considered. Maybe he'll get a go on a lions tour this winter and could be in the frame for next years t20 world cup
-
I've been saying this a while now, batted superbly again last night, 90 off 50 without looking like he was going gun-ho!

He needs to be given a run in the Lions I think before he will be placed in the full team. He is doing well in the domestic league. Perhaps they want to see some one day runs being scored before just getting a T20 specialist in?
