Title: Sport Pursuit
Post by: L21 on July 02, 2015, 01:30:41 PM
Sport Pursuit have a big sale on Gray Nicolls.

I am very tempted to pick up a new bat from them and possibly some pads.

Anyone had any experience of their cricket stuff?

Any advice? Or do you take the risk of buying blind and hope you get something good.

Cheers.

I think the cricket stuff may be a new thing for them.
They are a good company though - it is a flash sale site so you have to wait a bit for the stuff to get sent out

I've never used them for cricket stuff, but everything else has been excellent

I'd say buying blind has worked more often than not for bats, but you obviously get some poor quality gear when buying blind too. Only real way to ensure that you don't get a dud is to go to someone who handpicks, as they will normally check that the performance and looks are up to standards! In terms of pads, buying blind is fine as long as you know they'll fit!

To be fair, the flash sale prices are no different form the prices on some of the retailer ebay shops and the GN clearance store.

Bats don't seem to let you select a weight as far as I can see, could be a bit of a lottery but the nemesis 4 star at 79.99 looks a good deal.
