Not sure if this counts (because I am so young) , but I am six stone , 5 foot tall and 12 years old.. ;)
-
I'm probably most miserable
-
I am the oldest.
-
But how old is old Mr Senior?
-
Cricket records too, best score, best bowling figures
Controversial - Who is the best player on here, and who is the worse?
-
Worse player, I'll have that one!
-
Worst fielder. I'm up there
Most catches dropped in one game - 6. All at silly mid off
-
@WalkingWicket37 granted I've never seen you play but from your updates on your current season I doubt you are the worst mate
-
Worst Innings ever witnessed
One of my team mates got a 28 ball duck a few years ago. I was at the other end, he couldn't hit the ball.
NB - I have never seen myself bat
-
Worst fielder is easily me, i've never taken a catch outside of practice in the five years i've been playing.
Longest time in the shower is probably also me, I tend to spend half an hour to 45 minutes in the shower every morning.
-
@RF apparently I can bowl a bit. I'll happily claim worst batsman and fielder then? And worse bowling action, I'm a less coordinated, right arm version of Paul Adams!
@Gurujames I'll put my name in for that one. I dropped 4 in an innings including 2 dollies. I didn't have the silly mid off excuse.
@Cin88 I'll have a dropped catch-athon with you for it, first one to take a catch loses the title!
-
I'll go for lightest 44 years old been 8 and a half stone since 18
-
You're on Cam. Although I probably have the edge on you in this one thanks to my current issues with getting in the side.
-
Most 'Dick of the day' titles won in a row. Currently I'm standing at 3. The captain then imposed a rule that you cannot 'win' the title twice in a row.

You've never taken a catch in 5 years??
I don't think @FattusCattus was referring to how long it took you to have shower mate
-
Yep five years and not a single catch.
-
I'd like to know who has the LOWEST high score?
-
Lowest high score is a good one
-
I just like how no ones brave enough to proclaim any good things yet. Only the bad ones.
-
Yep five years and not a single catch.
I've had 1 catch in 4 years
-
I participated in a world record for drinking whilst at Uni - unfortunately that was some 20 odd years ago and has since been beaten!
I have, however, been playing cricket for some 25 years and have got over 50 once and never got to 100...
-
More bats than 'career' runs, Tim?
-
My top score was 40* for the last 10 years, and hadn't scored a 50 in 26 years of playing.
That, of course, all changed this year when I at last realised my obvious potential as an all-rounder :)
-
But how old is old Mr Senior?
793 Months
-
How about the most consecutive seasons playing club cricket
Probably me
-
I'd like to submit myself form most tired. Tough group, I bet
5 years with out a catch, that's amazing. Well done. :)
-
Yep five years and not a single catch.
Christ, aren't you the bloke who wants to become a wicketkeeper?
-
I bowled a 15 ball over once, this might be close to an unwelcome record. At a time when I used to be a reasonably serious bowler over 20 years ago, I had a Scott Boswell moment (look it up on youtube) and couldn't hit cut strip :(
-
I would quite like to be proven wrong on this so as to feel less of a freak, but biggest head, I reckon that's me. It's 65cm around. They don't make cricket helmets that big, they literally don't.
I spent ages looking for one at a time when I had no money whatsoever and ended up spending £65 on the bottom of the line Adidas ayrtek-shaped one with the foam inserts you're meant to shape to your head, with all the foam inserts taken out, it still is so tight it gives me horrendous headaches after 15 or so overs and digs into my temples, if I ever do get hit it's going to cut my head I know it.
I want a masuri but I'll never wear one, such is my curse.
I ride a motorcycle and had to get my crash helmet posted from America in order to get the XXXL size the big brands don't sell in the UK. I'm 6'2 but that helmet is still so big I've got the proportions of a giant toddler with it on.
If anyone actually knows of a genuinely bigger-than-usual batting helmet I'd like to hear it.

Laziest runner between the wickets
Most times caught at long on/off
Fussiest bat badger
-
Fussiest about bats with a sub 10 average
Least revs on the ball by a spinner
-
More bats than 'career' runs, Tim?
Sadly not, I've a fair few forty-somethings!
-
I thought you were a forty-something!
-
I've got a Guiness World Record for carrying Ping Pong Balls!!
-
Greatest time elapsed between games?
-
Longest time for a first league wicket?
Debut 2007
First wicket 2010
-
I thought you were a forty-something!
At least I'm no sixty something brucie... And you've just been disinvited to the fortieth...
-
How about current seasons kit cost per game. I spent a grand total of 420 on gear for this season and have played 3 times... Current capital cost per game = 140. Ouch.

This might not be very helpful now however I've got a teammate who has an unusually large head and found that the only helmet that would fit him was the Woodworm (the old classic Ashes 2005 Pietersen/Flintoff one). Link here to an example..

Trouble is, I think you might really struggle to get one of these now.

not proud of this one but in my younger, less control & lots of pace days I had the (dis)pleasure of bowling most wides in one over :-[ 16wides in one over all down the leg side and that was 16 deliveries for 16 runs of wides + 6 dot ball with a wicket or 2 in one over. 22 ball over :(

22 balls in an over, I bet the scorers loved you!

Well let's just say its now part of the folklore in cricket here been almost 10 years since and it still comes up every now and then :(

My only claim off interest on a cricket pitch.
I once got 50 before my fellow opener got off the mark.

Play 46 over games. And overs count down. So we was seven overs in.
-
Greatest time elapsed between games?
Stopped playing regularly in 2001 (year my first daughter was born) next played in 2014 so 13 year gap
-
How about most ducks in a season, or most not outs?
-
Got 4 ducks in a row once :(
But proudest performance was when I got a fifty where every scoring shot was a 4!! :D

My first run once brought up the 50 partnership.
I've taken wickets in Saturday league cricket bowling right arm over and left arm round...

I got 5 ducks last season but didn't that was only a joint best at my club so I don't think I'll win that one.
I've had 2 so far this season and am considering giving up all together!

Christ, aren't you the bloke who wants to become a wicketkeeper?
In my defence, I tend to overthink it when i'm out in the deep so I tend to spill it out of sheer "still got time, still got time, still got...oops" level stupidity. I have less trouble if i'm keeping or at slip though (which is very rare as i'm not wide enough to be a slip at my club), I find it easier to catch when there's no time to think before the ball is reaching me.

I don't think you can really claim to be better at either if you've never taken a catch in a game.

Our former wicketkeeper once went the whole season without scoring a run.
The whole season!
He batted about 7 of 8 times
