Guys,
As many of you will know, we have recently designed our very own exclusive bat in conjunction with Newbery. It has been specifically made to tie in with the launch of our Platinum Lounge, and as such it is called the Platinum by Newbery. It is a very, very top end bat, and many of you will know how fussy we are when we come to our bats! The Platinum is only available in SPS grade, and will retail for £319.99.
Now the important stuff - the shape! The bat is a mid-low middle, full profile bat with a duck-billed toe, meaning the pick up is like a dream. When we were picking them in Newbery today a member of the public picked up a 2'11 and thought it was a 2'8!
The decals have been designed to reflect both IJC (the front) and Newbery (the back) and are fully embossed and chromed, including full embossing on the side and the back!
Unusually for a Newbery bat they come with a free Newbery bat cover, and toe guards applied. They come in weights from 2'7 (fully dressed, no sheets on any) to 2'11 in this first batch, much lighter than we thought possible, and all with edges of 35-38mm!
We are honestly very proud of these, we're very lucky to do a job we love and be able to design a bat which has ended up looking and performing so well!
They are available now in SH and Harrow (£209.99), but overall wanted to share a bat we thought the forum would love!

We tried to keep it minimalist on the back! Both back stickers are fully embossed! Nice little touch on my own personal one as you can see!

Very reminiscent of some classic hunts shapes there. Looks very nice!

Back stickers are perfectly centred as you can see - was just an illusion from the grains and shadows!

got 6 in stock now, with 16 more to follow on Thursday/Friday. 8 harrows due to arrive then too...
Bats should be available online from Thursday, but until then can only be purchased in store.

The toe is a completely different shape to the Kudos. The Platinum is more similar to the Kudos2 but fuller (more of a convex profile, like the Tour) and a few other subtle differences.

Guys, the video of this bat should be up this evening. It won't be a typical "review" of course, because we are biased about this bat, but it will at least explain the thinking behind it and show everything in more detail. We hope the bats will speak for themselves and look forward to the feedback.

Saw one of these the other day and had a little tap up with one that had been knocked in, nice profile very similar to a Tour from Newbery, not the best looking bat for the price but certainly was impressive tapping up and old ball and felt good in the hands. Hope it went well for you Paul and was worth the effort
