Title: Portable Bowling Machine?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there's anywhere you can get a bowling machine with a portable power pack? Our club has just managed to get funding for new covers and a batting cage so I'd be interested in purchasing a bowling machine - just wondered if it's possible to buy one that's portable instead of just being mains powered?

Then Paceman Pro is very portable, doesn't come with an official power pack option but is very easy to acquire a suitable inverter and car battery from Halfords etc. I have Paceman machines in stock and can provide the necessary details to get the right battery/inverter.

BOLA machines can be run on a battery too, but obviously are a bit less portable.

We use our Bola machine with a 12v car battery, you got to have some kind of a cart to carry the whole lot though.

Can the Paceman Pro handle the heavier Bola type balls?

i have the paceman original not sure how it compares size wise to the pro edition but is easy to move and good fun to use. i even take it on tour we us for the weekend

It's a little bigger and heavier but still manageable.

Just to add

As good as Bola are, trying to transport the things are a pain in the unmentionables.

You need two people to move it up or down any level and you don't want to be dragging the box on wheels for any distance.  Add to that the weight of the battery and its not a fun job.

I transport my paceman pro in a two wheeled granny shopping trolley bag. It's not great over rough ground but does the job and better than carrying 25kg of bowling machine plus your kit bag.

I mentioned it elsewhere but may as well put it here too.....you need pure sinewave inverter capable of at least 600w to be paired to a 12v battery - look for more than 17AH batteries if you want a decent amount of time/usage .

Check out Bola Jr - portable with good features.
