Would anyone know where to get some Newbery Bat Stickers? I've tried Newbery directly but they now say they don't supply just the stickers - they only do this with refurbs / repairs:

I'm trying to do a repair on my brothers old Newbery Lightweight bat which hasn't been touched in years (planned Christmas present):

@e4sby had some a while ago mate, might be worth trying him!

By heck it's a small world!!
Being a fellow Darlo fan (football) - I've run into @e4sby via various footy forums in the past.
Don't suppose you have any Newbery stickers going spare do you mate?
-
Hi mate,
It is a small world! Unfortunately I've used the stickers.
Keep your eye open on eBay the odd set do make an appearance every once in a while.

I was interested in this thread until I found out we have Darlo fans involved haha! Good luck with your new season, it's not the same without you!

To the point, there were some on Ebay last week I think it was which I saw when I was trawling for stickers myself, don't think they're there now though! Worth keeping your eye there though!

Ha! Cheers fellas. I'll try and keep my eye out for them. Failing that I might just send it off to Newbery to repair. There's a bit of a substantial crack in the toe and they seem to think they'll be able to put some dowells in to help fix the issue. A lot more comprehensive than just My glue and clamp method.

We're getting closer, was hoping it would be one division more but you lot managed a Houdini escape!
I now spend more money on DFC than I do cricket bats nowadays!

Expect to pay £20+ for a set of genuine Newbery stickers, depending on what Newbery will charge for the repair/refurb might be worth sending it to them.

In that case it's decision made. I'm on doing a bit of refurbishment to my two Kookaburra bats (glued, sanded, oiled, new grips / stickers / scuff sheet / shoe glue) and I've kind of got the bug.
My brothers Newbery, as you can see, is pretty banged up. The toe is in very poor condition too:

Arguably it's ready for the bonfire but it holds a lot of sentimental value, so even if it's not match worthy, it'll be good to have it looking a lot better.

By heck there's no rushing Newbery to reply to emails is there? Been waiting over a week now and nothing.
-
I phoned them. That worked.
-
Gasp!!! The telephone? as an instrument of more immediate communication with a busy company? Are you mad??????????? That'll never work. :o

I know, bonkers.

Ah dry English wit... ;)

I know. Alvin and I are both 'shining wits' (or something similar)
