Title: Wakefield Cricket Bat Making

New brand over here in Australia. I follow the brand on instagram and youtube and saw that they have uploaded a 40 minute bat making video. Thought I'd pop it up on here:

As Wakefield is where i live and there is a bat company called warrior!

Looks like they just shape part made bats. Not a bad video though from the guy.

Doesn't anyone use a drawknife anymore? Puzzes me when you see people using spokeshaves etc to reduce lots of wood.

Couldn't agree more mate. Spoke shaves are great for minor adjustments but draw knife is the way to go for most of the shaping.

i think its because the part mades look to be machined into a proper edge and basic shape

As a new bat brand it's sometimes hard to get advice from pro bay makers,  most of my experience is trial and error. But thanks for the comments guys.
