Title: Wearing in new gloves
Post by: Akewstick on July 31, 2015, 10:32:21 AM
Couldn't find a topic about this, strangely.

I've bought new CA 15000 gloves and they're massive! They're also stiff as anything and I don't really want to go straight into a match from my knackered old GN powerbows which are both tiny and 2 seasons and 100s of buckets of sweat old.

Unfortunately my club's not doing nets now so I can't break them in that way, what else can I do?

Wear them at home, holding the bat, practicing your shots.

Only thing I can think of is wear them in around the house while watching tv or something keep flexing them or shadow batting etc. ?

before putting them on for your innings, just bend and flex them more than there normal shape, should help for a little while.

bend the fingers into the palm, wrap in a flannel/facecloth and then put on a couple of elastic bands,

No. Just to stop the bands digging into the glove.
