Title: Kook verve Handle
Post by: SOULMAN1012 on August 11, 2015, 06:20:09 AM
Hi guys, Iv just picked up a kook verve and it has this soft handle thing ( basically a piece of foam order the grip) my question is this, is the handle still binded or is the foam in replacement of the binding? Basically the handle is to thick as its like gave 3 grips on there so want to change handle set up but not sure what under foam. Any body know?

Gray nicolls do this with their XRD bats I think. Supposed to stop vibration  ???

Not entirely sure, but I think when I was fixing the grip on someone's, and the shock absorber was peeling a bit. It seemed to have binding under this. Maybe change the grip to a thin chevron?

That was going to be the simple fix but I'm very very fussy with the handle set up but hopefully in a ideal world this will sort it. I would assume there will be binding underneath as can't see how the foam will do the job that the binding would do in relation to the bats performance. Of course I'll pop some pics up later

It is bound underneath.  The foam is a covering layer.  If you do not like the spongy feel you can strip it down but i can get a bit messy.
