Title: Affinity Ayrtek Edition Bat
Post by: Drupy01 on August 19, 2015, 06:19:54 PM
Hi just wondered if anybody has bought/used the affinity Ayrtek edition bats and what they thought about it.

I know the bat is pretty old but I got in touch with Affinity and requested for one, I hope I made the right decision.

I've got a Custom Affinity Ayrtek. It's a 3lb monster, I'll try and find the review I did.

Can't recommend them highly enough, great service & top bats

That's one of the problems with affinity bats,,,,one soon becomes two etc etc

Think the most I had was 9, 7 now but it'll probably not be long before it's back to 8!

Toro was the first affinity I bought, got an 8 ball 21 last Friday! Didn't really middle anything properly

I've got the softs as well which are excellent, I'll do a review of the new ones when I get a minute

Great!! Looks like I've made a really good choice!
I'm be asked for my weight to be 2-11, are they big bats?

Yeah let us know about the softs, I'm interested in getting the full lot.

Like I used to say to my ex, 'size isn't everything'.
At 2.11 it will hit the ball a long way!

Hopefully I just need to use it properly! Should be a big bat at 2-11.

I think the stickers are probably the best on the market.

What's the concaving like on the Ayrtek?

The ayrtek model has quite thick shoulders so the pick up should be very good. Mine picks up well for being over 3lb.

Think there is a toe up shot in that link, it is concaved but only lightly. I'll take some photos of the softs, used them in a few games and they are excellent

Nice one JB!

Are they bulky the pads? I prefer pads that mould to your leg.

I've got an Ayrtek Edition bro, it's the first of my four, and it picks up like a dream. It weighs around 2 13 but feels more like 2 9. Its pretty similar to the Carbine but with a slight amount of concaving and thicker shoulders. Think I read somewhere it was designed that way to aid openers especially, but I could be wrong...either way you won't be disappointed! Word of caution, be prepared because it may become an addiction  :D
