From what I've heard B3 seem to be the best going around and very supple straight from the pack. As for pads I wouldn't pay too much attention to them really any pads will do the job as they are just there for the occasional hit, however if he is looking for the best, I'd advise GM Original pads, our keeper has them and they are lightest and most comfortable WK pads I have seen or worn

B3 gloves are great, used a pair for all of last season, incredibly supple. Yesterday deputised for our starting keeper and used his m&h ck22s. Felt very comfortable and supple...

Another thumbs up for B3 gloves here, couple of lads at my club have used them too and loved them.

All depends on the budget. Worth checking out the Red Ink keeping kit, great kit and currently on sale

As with all soft goods, fit is the most important thing. Try stuff on, would be my advice to your keeper.
In my opinion, Hunts make good quality stuff.

Decent gloves, cheap pads
Or in my case cheap gloves and even cheaper pads, I'm using Hunts County and I think it's decent kit (but to say I'm a part time keeper is pushing it!)

It's SS made too, I believe
-
What sort of budget did he have in mind?
Gloves can range from £30 to £140 with one of the best being the SS Ton Gloves at £64.99 and the pads at £29.99.

He was looking at the kookaburra kahuna 1250 gloves

The last gloves I got him were m&h tan gloves which he loved

I use the gray nicolls prestige gloves, great protection and soften up quickly also fairly cheap
-
I use puma pads, very light and comfortable.

I use Xpro at the moment, their pads are fairly light and give good protection. The gloves need a lot of breaking in but they're fairly good once they get supple enough. Not that mine get used much though...
-
my M&H tan gloves are the best I've ever used - they're being sent off for repair though, as the webbing has finally broken after three seasons.
as a replacement I got the Adidas elite gloves, they're quite nice but have taken a long time to wear in. B3 are almost too soft for my liking, I preferred the M&H as there was more substance to them.

SS gloves I have the professional and the pittard ones top range jobbies plus pads and best Iv ever used, cut and fit is exceptional no excess on outside of palms that I find on a lot of gloves including kook and GN

Where did you send them off for repair? This happened to mine 2 weeks ago! Want to reface and repair them!
In the meantime bought myself the B3s and they're so comfortable!! I tried a few on in shops and none came close to the B3s.

I need to get my Warsops refaced soon, if anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be great.
