As the end of another summer approaches (seriously where have the last few months gone?!) it's time to see what people have their hearts set on for next season....
I'll be the first to put my hands up and say I very rarely need equipment and ultimately only ever buy because I "feel like it"
For me on the list is:-
Boots - used spiked trainers this season again. Love them but looking at getting a proper pair of boots again
Gloves - I normally get though 2 pairs in a season so the plan is to find some decent gloves in the sales. I love gloves but spending mega bucks on some for me to ruin might be pointless. I am a massive fan of pittard palms
Pads - I don't need any, however with my addiction, I pretty sure 1 pair will be purchased along the way!!
Bat - My trusty Rob Pack is being put to sleep this winter after 4 seasons use of nets and 2/3 games a week! 4000 ish runs later it's been a great servant! However getting a new stick is going to be an exciting process! I for one, LOVE knocking in my bats! Look after your bat and your bat will look after you!
Helmet - I happy with my older masuri. Something special will have to come along for me to change my view on that.
Thigh pads - After much chopping and changing, I finally feel I've found something that works for me so I won't be looking at purchasing!

Hoping for a new duffle bag - either the GM one or the New Balance one (really hoping NB do a Black and Orange one or a Blue and yellow one rather than the red "woodworm" one!). I will also be in the market for some new playing trousers.
May go for some new gloves too, that depends on the new model of GM OLE though... the new range is due for promotion in September.
Just filled my boots with new boots in the sales which has been great my other stuff is all good... I need to spend more time improving my fitness and practising rather than buying kit.

I want a b3 bat for as cheap as possible, hopefully there's some butterfly going around January when I've got the cash. I wanted the 1271 shape but then there's the trott one, but now I'm thinking I might go for the bespoke option and see if they can copy my old H4L Hattori but fill it out from a 2lb 9 to a 2lb 13. I also want some high end pads, which will be bought from any website that's got a big discount on some. I very much like GN prestige though. Happy with helmet, gloves and boots and I've stopped caring about thigh pads, don't get hit that much there and a few bruises doesn't spoil my day.
My biggest cricket related expenditure will be weights, a barbell and a squat rack and 8 or 12 coaching sessions before the start of the season if all goes to plan, come next april I'll have a few pounds more muscle, with a better technique, swinging a big 2'13 bottom-heavy bat.

I'm gonna send my stretton a back to George for a refurb and an update.
I'm gonna ask Marcus at affinity if he can get some of the red/black pads he had made for sulieman ben done for me but with a white front instead of black.
Also a set of his gloves.
I'd like a twin bar masuri. But burgundy cloth and black ring and grill.
And I'm gonna get some new balance all burgundy trainers and have them spiked up.
Only bat I'll add is dependant on what GM release for next season. Always like a GM pre order.
Maybe a new club too.

I have sold many, many bats this season to team mates, opposition team players and others! Probably sold 40, so collection is down to around 80 or so?
So as I have streamlined my bat collection, I am not really aiming to increase the collection again - with the exception of one bat that I have already agreed on and am getting next month! Bat is in the sale section but will confirm and do pictures once it is with me in September! ;)
Trousers and tops are plentiful - as long as the sponsors don't change too soon!!
No batting pads, helmets, shoes, grips or other bits are required as I have too much already. :(
The only other kit (apart from the exciting addition to the bat collection) are a couple of pairs of batting gloves.

Gloves and bag, nothing exciting. Hopefully a few decent ebay bargains to add to the vintage collection (gn ultimate, slaz v500 would be nice additions). Main thing is have a decent rehab after back surgery

Gonna send my 808 Hero to GM to get re-stickered with the Aura ones and get a spruce up. As for gear I don't see myself getting anything new apart from the regulars such as new trousers and socks. I think my money will be better spent getting some coaching done but not sure where the closest place to Cumbria is for coaching.

I'm already planning a shopping spree at B3 in the new year with a few team mates. Bat, pads and gloves are all on the list.
I also want a new bag. I'm thinking of going old school and getting a coffin.

hitshard bat off ebay. to be fair I could of used the same bat since april this year and it would still be unused but change of luck maybe? or just blame the old bat,same with this one if it don't score three tons by September
to be fair the stickers look like it should come from a hamburger joint in California but it was born on the farm in Kent so it's come from a good home

Just bought a couple of pairs of new balance shoes at ridiculously cheap prices. Likely to get a GN500 custom in LB and maybe a HC Insignia LB. that's about it.

I need new Gloves as my current ones (Bradbury) are falling apart. New Pads too as the legends I bought for £35 from Sport direct haven't lasted the season. Will probably look at the GM range for next year.
I broke my custom Newbery bat last week so looks like I'll need to find a new stick before the start of next season.
Masuri Titanium helmet smells a bit but nothing a bit of fabreeze and a winter in a loft can't handle so no need to replace that. Same goes for my NB spikes.

New 20/20 bat, short blade long handle, probably an Aldred. New gloves, youth size, probably SS. Would like another H4L, preferably a Hattori. Will also buy loads of grips, more self-amalgamating tape, Salix bat wax (or try to make my own). Bat covers and plenty of sand paper.
Will get rid of.... Old SS Turbo needs a loving home with other vintage bats, though thus far I cannot bring myself to do it.

Hopefully just clothing and a pair of new balance 4040s in the new year.(maybe a new colour range) I want to say no equipment but unless I delete my profile on here and cancel my broadband subscription I don't think that will be possible :-[ If I do buy any equipment I think I will sell then replace instead of buying and selling my gear off dirt cheap just to make some room

I'm happy with my Salix, Norfolk butterfly and two newly refurbished bats so I don't need a new bat. However, I'm getting a new butterfly bat with the help of a certain Mr TK.
Pads and gloves I will probably replace, got my eye on the Norfolk all white pads and gloves, very classy indeed. The GN prestige range also takes my fancy.
Realised a few weeks ago that my Masuri is cracked, I have a brand new spare old style one so will probably use that. Few teammates talked about getting club Masuri helmets, could be tempted.
Hated using my Adidas Sl22's so batted for half a season with non spiked trainers, felt much more comfy. Undecided to get them spiked or leave them as they are. I would love a pair of purple puma's if they are cheap.

After three seasons use, my Adidas whites need replacing too,,,by far the best shirt and trousers I've ever used, so will replace like for like

I'm really happy with my H4L softs I've used this season and most of my gear is in good nick, could always be tempted by another bat though!

They are the blue ones with the strap across from 3 or 4 years ago. They didn't feel comfortable, too narrow and lacked support at the heel. The newer versions may be better.

I'm thinking of a new pair of trousers a couple of small accessories from gray nics. Possibly a pair of gloves to match my bat but pretty happy with what I have.
Super tempted by the new puma spikes in lava and white and also the opposite colour scheme. Just not sure I'll bring my self to spend £150 on two pairs of boots when my are almost new

Since discovering CBF I have been buying too much kit.
I already have new boots, a new bat and a new pair of gloves all box fresh ready for next year.
I've also just bought an old school coffin that's not arrived yet
I had my B3 serviced and I'll refurbish the other B3 match bat at the end of season.
I think I'll buy a new pair of SS pads and maybe another SS bat as well, might also be tempted to buy a new thigh pad if I'm feeling flush.
My wife said I could have a bowling machine for the back garden too, not sure if that's a bit over the top though.......

SF test all white gloves bought a couple of months ago so nearly new
SS all white ton test by sareen sports pads had one wear

Got another Kookaburra Kahuna 350 and a GM Aura 404 for next season in a sale from the store I bought my other Kahuna 350 from at the begining of this season. Also got a pair of Addidas Adipower Vector spikes from the same place for next season. Bought two Kookaburra Pro 800 bat covers for my Kahuna 350s and a GM padded bat cover for the Aura. I'm also going to get my old GN Powerbow 3 star refurbed by a local bat repair guy once he gets back off holiday, the intention being to carry on using it as my wet weather/early season bat.
Pics will be provided once my first Kahuna 350 and my GN have been refurbed.
I'll be needing new pads and gloves next season so chances are i'll be getting next year's GM pads and gloves, I have no money left in the budget for this year thanks to heritage railways and their need for toolsets in a million different measurement standards. Hopefully they'll last as long as my current set of GM gear (6 years of net and match usage with only dirt and general wear and tear on them). I might pick up a Millichamp and Hall bat on the "only used it once" market if my budget allows, purely because I have a Millichamp and Hall bat cover with no M&H bat, which is really begining to get on my nerves as I have matching bat covers for all but my GN (currently in the M&H cover).

I am in the market for a new pair of gloves and possibly a helmet (Shrey) as well as a Red Ink Custom and some keeping gloves , possibly M&H , depending on price. I also have got some Salix Pod One pads from Pro direct cricket for 70 off rrp which is hopefully a good deal. Also maybe some Asics spikes depending on the new range as i have used normal trainers for the last few years of my cricket.

We've got a spare net down the club, I think I could adapt that into a temporary one like you use before a game on the pitch.
That was the wife's idea too when I took her to Trent Bridge.

Recently bought some Robert Pack pads to replace my old Puma 3000's.
Looking at replacing my Adidas 22yds mids with Nike Accelerate if I can find any in blue cheap enough.
Thinking of replacing my strippers for something less bulky.
Accepted that my Arytek helmet has its design faults so I'll be keeping it.
Thanks to the forum I've got more bats than I can shake a stick at. Never say never though.

Definitely going to get a new bat for two reasons 1) I could do with one that suits my game as oppose to one I picked up for cheap now I am taking it more seriously, 2) why not?! Due to me being a poor university graduate, with a minute budget, the sports direct sales will dictate what I can get, but a Gray nics F18 is top of the wishlist!
I could definitely do with new gloves as mine are sweat stained quite badly.
Pads are starting to tear so they are a must too!
The softs will probably be the same brand as the bat to please my OCD!
I've lost too many spikes this season so I am considering getting some trainers spiked up for hopefully a more permanent fix.

Me personally - in theory trousers and some new bowling boots to replace my Nikes. In practice God only knows!

Due to the dual delights of discovering CBF and actually starting to purchase on Ebay, I seem to have inexplicably spent quite a lot during the course of the season.
Just taken delivery of the New Balance 4020 and Puma Evospeed 1.3 spikes. Sitting here now in the living room with the spikes on just to start stretching them ready for the weekend, but don't tell the wife!
All I need now is a new pair of pads and a decent wheelie bag and that's me set for 2016. What I need and what I buy may be two different things though.

This is the right attitude to have, "I'm quite happy with just one set of spikes but everyone else seems to have two sets so I best get another set". Fantastic work mate, that's why I love this forum :D

Quite happy with the bat helmet and pads I've got. But looking to get a couple of pairs of gloves in a sale. A pair of Adidas spikes that I've spotted on cricket supplies on sale and maybe a new bag, if one takes my fancy

Almost always zero indication from GM before the launch, they like a big reveal.
Got a bit of a sniff last year as we went to the factory in July time for a tour/training day and i saw a few Moguls knocking about.
I would be surprised if the Mogul and Six6 both went, neither should go in my opinion but the Six6 might as 2015 is its second year. Other than that i really don't have anything to cling on to even generate a theory.

Really cleared out a lot of kit this season and will continue to do so. Staying will be my TON Legacy Elite as it's a superb bat and my SS keeping kit as my keeping this year except for one poor game has been very good if I do say so myself,
I have a couple of new sticks already for next year from RK ,GM & Kook and one of those will be my main kit, iv had an awful season with the bat, actually my worst ever season so next year I will net and play with one bat and one set of softs all year just have the winter to decide which one and then get a bag to match which ever I choose. but at this stage no more bats except maybe the GN Classic if Jake @Vitas Cricket can find me one as good as he found me one a couple of seasons back.
Winter sales have yielded some new spikes from Puma and at this stage that's all I needed as didn't get on with my Adidas vector spikes.

Brought a brand new GN S/H kaboom 2014 model yesterday of Ebay for 46.00 bit of a gamble for me regarding how heavy it is as although I contacted the seller and requested the weight his reply was he did not know

I have decided that I also want a bat like Matt Coles has - but with those sexy blue stickers too from H4L. I am going to need to do some saving!

I really want to start supporting forum sponsors more and move away from cheap and cheerful indian imports and go for the added quality and insurance.
I'll be looking to add a @Red Ink Cricket or a B3 next summer. I would get one today but I've been told if I spend any more money on bats and something is getting cut off!

Blue Room - Ever since I tried one which was 2.13, I have never played with a bat which was quite nearly so good on the drive. The new graphics on them and the profiles have me tempted...
H4L Warbird - Looks fantastic, and have always been a fan of H4L bats in terms of performance. Since skipping down a bit in weight, the 2.9s Vitas has in stock are tempting...
RK - Have been chatting with Ryan about getting one made up for me, it's just a matter of when I make up my mind on the profile!

Trying hard to resist buying anything as it's just going to sit in the loft for 6 months. Very depressing :(
I have however bought some H4L classic gloves to go with my NV bat when I visited Matt a few weeks ago while on holiday. I need new spikes and like the look of the Adidas sl22's. Also need new trousers as mine are wrecked and shirt and cap for my new club. Tempted to get a new bat, even though my NV has gone very well all season. Really like the shape of the Gray Nicolls F18 with high middle and no concaving. Never owned a GN, or might see if I can get the shape copied so as to get a better grade for the same price.

As the end of another summer approaches (seriously where have the last few months gone?!) it's time to see what people have their hearts set on for next season....
I'll be the first to put my hands up and say I very rarely need equipment and ultimately only ever buy because I "feel like it"
For me on the list is:-
Boots - used spiked trainers this season again. Love them but looking at getting a proper pair of boots again
Gloves - I normally get though 2 pairs in a season so the plan is to find some decent gloves in the sales. I love gloves but spending mega bucks on some for me to ruin might be pointless. I am a massive fan of pittard palms
Pads - I don't need any, however with my addiction, I pretty sure 1 pair will be purchased along the way!!
Bat - My trusty Rob Pack is being put to sleep this winter after 4 seasons use of nets and 2/3 games a week! 4000 ish runs later it's been a great servant! However getting a new stick is going to be an exciting process! I for one, LOVE knocking in my bats! Look after your bat and your bat will look after you!
Helmet - I happy with my older masuri. Something special will have to come along for me to change my view on that.
Thigh pads - After much chopping and changing, I finally feel I've found something that works for me so I won't be looking at purchasing!

For the 2016 season, I did purchase one NB cricket bat and one pair of SS Super Test gloves.

Having taken stock at the end of season, I've decided that there will be minimal purchases for next year now (sacrilege I know!), but I guess never say never! ;)
My B3 butterfly has been an absolute gun bat this year and is just in need of a bit of TLC during the winter as there's some slight toe damage to it and it should be good to go again next season. I have a back up butterfly waiting to go as well just in case it needs moving to a net bat instead. We are planning a club trip down to B3 however so I'm sure they'll be some bats to tempt me while I'm there! :) I also have a Nemesis to try out in T20 next season. B3 pads should still be ok for next year (slight wear and tear but nothing too bad).
Only purchases will most likely be, new thigh guards (GN ones were terrible as they tore after a couple of uses), and some new B3 gloves either the split link or if they bring out a new design. The traditional ones have also been great this year.

It depends, I'm largely happy with my kit. Been struggling for grip with my bat in recent weeks so going to regrip it and see if its the grip or the gloves. If the latter then I'll be after some new ones.

Although I am okay for kit took an Ebay chance on a brand new still boxed GN Kaboom as the guy stated he didnt know the wieght ( its 2lb 9 ) don't know yet if it's suitable for me or I can I use it it also as a thick oval handle at the bottom which being a bottom hand left handed batter have never liked.
Also brought a pair of red/white NB shoes for £26.00 which I didn't need but brought them because they were half price.
Walked away from a very large brand new GM cricket bag for £ 5.00 at the car boot on Sunday as i already have two GN s and and the large England one on reflection wish I had brought it I could have given it to someone at the club.
Will probably buy the England 2016/17 presentation jacket and shorts when they become available around Feb 2016.

Definitely need new thigh pads (probably P2s) and a new lid (unsure on lid, need to go try some on). My bats and pads are fine and I recently bought new gloves from Gray-Nicolls ebay page and got some new spikes in the sales.
Also looking for a new duffle, as my GN100 ripped about 2 weeks before end of season :( May get another of these if continued though as found it to be perfect size, otherwise looking at a Kookaburra players duffle.

I started early, already got Nike Lunar Dominate spikes and a Masuri Vision test series titanium helmet for next season. Bought an Ayrtek helmet, went for the softs bundle from Bellingham & Smith, so that's 2 pairs of gloves and 2 duffle bags I have now! the bat is next, Aldred Spectre probably not sure on grade yet, depends what I see when I visit, will be picking up some Aldred thigh pads also.

I'm happy with my Salix, Norfolk butterfly and two newly refurbished bats so I don't need a new bat. However, I'm getting a new butterfly bat with the help of a certain Mr TK.
Pads and gloves I will probably replace, got my eye on the Norfolk all white pads and gloves, very classy indeed. The GN prestige range also takes my fancy.
Realised a few weeks ago that my Masuri is cracked, I have a brand new spare old style one so will probably use that. Few teammates talked about getting club Masuri helmets, could be tempted.
Hated using my Adidas Sl22's so batted for half a season with non spiked trainers, felt much more comfy. Undecided to get them spiked or leave them as they are. I would love a pair of purple puma's if they are cheap.

I have managed to pick up an genuine pro issue Kookaburra Kahuna bat, along with matching pro issue pads and gloves.
Also got a swap deal on for Norfolk RR1 pads and gloves which will match my Norfolk bats.

May go for some new gloves too, that depends on the new model of GM OLE though... the new range is due for promotion in September.
Just filled my boots with new boots in the sales which has been great my other stuff is all good... I need to spend more time improving my fitness and practising rather than buying kit.

The current plan is to order a custom Hunts via @Vitas Cricket, The Red Ink duffel is on order and I'm waiting for the 2016 boots to show up so I can retire the disappointing Lunar Dominates. Also in the market for a new Albion grille after mine suffered a little damage last year (it's the 2013 model and I much prefer the grille to new new squashed looking ones). As with each new season though, as the new gear arrives I could be tempted with other buys.

Long time no post, but remember the Newbery Mjolnir debacle I had a few years ago? Well it has been sitting in their workshop for about a year, and today a bat arrived at my old house, addressed to me... Going to down to get it in a few, I'm so excited!
Last year I bought a brilliant bat off the equally brilliant Rob Pack, the 2nd belter I have bought from him. Best bat I've ever owned, and it brought me my first ever hundred... Between that, the mystery Newbery and a Kahuna 1250, I'm sorted in that regard.
I'm leaning towards possibly getting some new pads more than anything, but I can't really justify pumping more money into the sport right now. Having said that, I love the new GM Range in places, and the GN Classic bats look gorgeous.

Having said I wouldn't get anything, I've moved on my Mjolnir and will sell my Kahuna 1250 shortly too.
Which means that I've just ordered a GM Aura 707 for £80! Great deal and I really, really hope it is decent. I'm after a bat for the shorter form, you see... Don't want to sully my beautiful RPC with such tripe.
Been after some classy pads but looks like I'll probably stick with my Powerbow GenX 750s, and the Omega XRD 1000 gloves.

Puma Stormtrooper pads bought off eBay, new gloves needed so probably get some Pumas to match, fingers crossed their new range are nice or that the 2015 ones hit the sales soon.
New spikes needed, almost certainly Asics unless NB or Adidas new ranges are a big change, heard rumours Adidas will be very different this year.
New B3 more or less done knocking in ready for nets, Red Ink didn't get much use last season but likely to next year. Alfred needs a refurb, otherwise likely no change unless I pick up a bargain or get tempted by something new.

my bat before the SS was around 3lb so the SS is more the odd one out - went for that just to try out a lighter bat - the SS picks up beautifully i'm very impressed - Warbird hasn't arrive yet but i'll keep you posted on it when it does :)

Really cleared out a lot of kit this season and will continue to do so. Staying will be my TON Legacy Elite as it's a superb bat and my SS keeping kit as my keeping this year except for one poor game has been very good if I do say so myself,
I have a couple of new sticks already for next year from RK ,GM & Kook and one of those will be my main kit, iv had an awful season with the bat, actually my worst ever season so next year I will net and play with one bat and one set of softs all year just have the winter to decide which one and then get a bag to match which ever I choose. but at this stage no more bats except maybe the GN Classic if Jake @Vitas Cricket can find me one as good as he found me one a couple of seasons back.
Winter sales have yielded some new spikes from Puma and at this stage that's all I needed as didn't get on with my Adidas vector spikes.
So sold everything I said I was going to be keeping :( lol

Will be looking to pick up a new thigh pad set, a custom stretton fox is the dream but would be very harmful to my bank balance! May look for cheaper options any of these look like they'd do a job

I've just bought an inner & outer GN test thigh guard from their eBay outlet clearance page, I'm happy with them for the price paid (and I can pretend I'm a GN sponsored big dog with my full kit now ;) )

So sold everything I said I was going to be keeping :( lol
So I I have gained
B&S package of Softs, gloves x2 and B&S elite Pro plus duffle and replaced my keeping gear to the B&S keeping kit.
Kook kit consisting of Verve 1000 pads & gloves, verve 600 and cadejo 700 bats, pro duffle (all from last season)
H4L Warbird custom being finished by Matt hopefully, Hattori pads from eBay and pro gloves
Laver & Wood custom
Salix custom shape
GM Aura & 909 gloves
TON Gutsy and all white gloves
GN that I'm waiting for Jake to handpick for me and maybe some of the new GN gloves
Just got to decide which bat will be main league bat and kit, a mate at my old club has expressed an Interest in all the kook kit so that may clear out some more kit
What bag have you gone for mate? I was considering a massive one (stopped playing cricket towards end of this season) and @Vitas Cricket mentioned the GN Supernova duff is a good choice for keepers...

I have 2 duffle bags, the B&S bag and a M&H CK22 duffle, thinking about a wheelie again maybe the kook pro of H4L pro bags but duffles are much easier in changing rooms
