Title: Contact with Blueroom and forum experience
Post by: ProWannabe88 on August 25, 2015, 12:29:34 PM
Hi guys

As most of you are aware I was once the forum rep for Robert Pack Cricket and Blueroom Cricket. I have been away from the forum for a while and to be honest was so stressed with my previous job that I wasn't really in the right place to carry on with the section. However, things have changed in the last 6 months, I'm in a better place now and I have still been receiving tons of emails and messages through social media with regards to Rob and the kit.
Has BR / RPC been a brand you have enjoyed having on the forum and was it missed when I could no longer continue with the CS side of things?

As the sponsors on here know as well as most regular posting members, this place is very time consuming and can easily take over your free time / social life (when the industry isn't your full time profession).

I know there have been a lot of changes to the forum, new sponsors in, sponsors out, member fall outs, rules and marketing changes etc.

Its a large undertaking for me personally, although I thoroughly enjoyed it before. With the logistics involved isn't always the easiest to keep up with requests, correspondence between myself, rob and the customer etc.

with that in mind, and the possibility of a return to the fold, I wanted to know what your thoughts are on the BR and RPC brand and whether or not you would like to see it come back to the forum?

Regards

Liam

If the kit and branding on show last night on twitter was anything to go by, definitely.

I think for sure it has been missed.... Can't remember what game I was watching the other night but seen one being used and it brought back memories of being on the forum with some quality gear

Perhaps a forum gathering at the Pack-Cave?

With unlimited nets access to use lots of demo gear! Plus a generous discount to forum members, and humongous discounts for admin!!  ;)
Ok - maybe pushing it on the admin discount...but you get my drift!

a forum gathering at the UK's best batmakers premises?

harder to get a group of 16 year old boys to fit bra's to super models I would think.

Liam, Robert Pack bats are serious. My Bombora was brilliant.

I would love a forum meet up at the Cave.

I had a BR Swell that I stupidly sold in a moment of madness! Bouncing a cricket ball on it usually ended up with broken lights, such was the response on this bat!
Maybe it's a bad idea to have a meet there! Could be a disaster for my wallet!  :(

Yeah absolutely, you just know you would walk about with 3 bats just because they look so good
!!

I had a rob pack, sold it on Ebay and my word......that's the worst decision ever!
don't know why on earth I sold it.

ce la vie :)

Sounds like a plan. Could a decent return project to get my teeth into.

Not sure of any net facilities close by but there is a drinking facility directly opposite the pack cave.

I'll look into this for sure if the interest is there guys

Kettering has indoor facilities
Corby isn't far and has some indoor nets

Nothing cricket specific but something

Whilst I never owned one but having played with ones I received from @tushar sehgal, there is no doubt on RPC gear (including softs as they look gorgeous!!).

Personally I can safely say that I did miss your/RPC presence.

Glad to see everything is sorted out Liam, good to see you back!

Nice one. Will speak to Rob about sorting something in the off season. I'm sure he'd be up for a net.

Right - make it so Liam - I think it's time that Robert met a 'proper' batsman!

Where is it?

No more bats though @SOULMAN1012... Only one match bat next year! ;)

No I know my rules just love a traditional bat maker and possibly one of only a handful I haven't visited and Iv never actually used one either or even picked one up I don't think

I'm here guys just been very busy with new job and lots of house stuff to sort so haven't been online a great deal. I have been browsing posts and just getting some stuff ready for the long winter months.

I have spoken to Rob about the visit. I am waiting on a response to some available dates after Xmas.

Thanks for the message, unfortunately I have having a mere replying. The vice captain of Australia is 'David Warner' and a ball is '5 3/4 ounces' right?!

Anyway, contemplating a Blueroom bat and wondered if there was any forum specials? Also, wanted to know if there were plans afoot for a new line of bats for 2016. Don't want to commit and find out a new bat launches just after! I also note the different shapes (So Bombara, Wave etc) can come in different colours. Wanted to know whether the RPC stickers could be applied. I am without pads/gloves also, so wondered if new designs were coming in for 2016. If so, happy to wait and collect in one go.

Thanks, feel free to PM me and let me know what I am doing wrong re the private message questions!

Sounds like I need to do a 2016 Blueroom/rpc post with all the new stuff..

Anyway, I'll pm you the answers to your questions now and do that in the next few days

Perfect, thanks that would be great! I've played against enough players to know the bat will be great. :)

Seconded. I would love to see a post for the new RPC/Blueroom range. I've used a New Wave for last couple of seasons and it's a stunningly good blade, I was going to get it refurbished, but could quite easily be persuaded to get a new one.

Kk, I've requested a load of kit pictures so will out a nice big post together on 2016 range. I have a few pics of bats around but have also asked for a selection of blades as well.

I do have some pics but not loads

Looks like 2 people doing the same thing here at the moment. Pro seems you can get hold of rob easier as well. I've also been after details of the new kit amd images etc
Have Dropbox stuff but nothing specific.  Pointless us both doing the same thing here amd seems you have much more free time. Have messaged you to pass over the administration for the section amd take the name as well. You'll have to contact admin to finalise this.

Any update on this thread? I think there is quite a lot of us interested in having a look at the 2016 Blueroom/RPC range and the possibility of a forum day at the pack cave.
