Title: Last Man Stands Regional Finals
Post by: wayward_hayward on August 27, 2015, 08:25:11 PM
Anyone through to their regional finals for Last Man Stands?

My team, We'll Steyn Your Pants, have made it through to the East of England finals at Chelmsford CC.

We've got our Havering Division Semi's and Final's next week.  If we get a half decent side out we'll smash it and see you in the regionals.  Our squad composition is best described as bipolar...!

Best of luck!

We don't take ourself too seriously, team made up of decent club players and mates who don't play club cricket. We all end up bowling a variety of spin bowling pies!

Good luck. We had a shocker in our end of league playoffs.

I think we are through to the North West Regionals, barring a shock result in the last game. We made it as a 'wildcard' last year, which should have been translated to 'lamb to the slaughter' we played 'The Special Ones' who were at the time ranked 5th in the world!!!!!!

We don't take ourselves too seriously, we have a 'random squad generator'  IE "Batting at 1/Bowling 2 overs... Batting at 4/Wicket Keeper...Batting at 8/Bowling 4 overs" We stick to it and often sacrifice the result. It makes for a giggle in the changing rooms and gives lads the opportunity to try things they otherwise wouldn't with their weekend cricket.
