Title: Hemming tape for trousers
Post by: rickjames on August 31, 2015, 09:39:44 AM
Morning all,

Bought some trousers last week that came with some strips of hemming tape. Ironed it on OK and after first wash they've come away. Is there any particular tape or technique others use on their own for them to stick together?

Cheers!

Sewing is the best way, I'm afraid.

Sewing works best.
You could always try taking the scissors to them but I don't know if they'd fray & come undone if you used that method

Eurgh sewing is a drag, pah. Guess I'll give it a crack but irritatingly don't have any pins at home to keep it in place

That tape is useless - ignore it.  Get them hemmed, or trim across the bottom - use pinking shears to avoid a jagged edge, and to give that nice saw-tooth effect!

Get a dry cleaners to do it for you.
