Shame about Roy and Hales departing so early, but who else loves Moeen Ali?  :D

Good spell by Patrick Cummins 2/25. Rapid pace.

Sam Billings looks like a real bunny against proper fast bowling

Morgan has overtaken KP as England's leading T20I run scorer
KP played fewer matches, averaged more and had a superior strike rate.

An Irishman taking over an English record held by a Saffer, doesn't get any better

Well KP has been cut short and has played like 20 less slap and tickle games.. Hardly comparable talents

All we can do is hope that one day he fulfills this dream....even with his extreme lack of talent

In all seriousness, why is 2020 billed as so exciting? I seriously don't get it. Just smacking through the line all the time isn't fun after the first 2 or 3. I mean, we know moeen can't play decent bowling on decent wickets yet and just biff on 2020 wickets.. How is that good for the game or even exciting ? All I think is 'great, you can hit through the line but can't play Johnson/steyn in tests'

I just don't get why some people (vocal minority) get all 'Yey Yey' about both the format, and the 2020 merchants

I'm not sure what Billings brings to the team. Unless he's good enough to bat in the top 5 he shouldn't be playing. Buttler and Stokes have to be ahead of him in the order, so unless he keeps then he shouldn't be in. Vince would have been a better pick, or another bowler.

I'm no fan of T20, but Ali wasn't 'hitting through the line' at all. He was playing proper cricket shots all round the wicket.

Agree that playing Billings as a specialist batsman is a bit strange.

Ok enough of this utter dribble I've just deleted 3 pages of total rubbish.... Yes it was mainly from one member but there were a few who added fuel to the fire... Let's get back to talking cricket!!!!

Matthew Wade seemed to be using a Shrey version of the stemguard, can't find any pictures though. Looked like a velcro on job rather than clips.

I guess its much more thrilling... A find test matches quite boring to be honest. T20s finish within 3 hours, its much more fun to watch, although all they do is slogg

I can't remember exactly who it was but some pundit recommended series should follow a format of 3 ODIs , then 3-5 Tests ending with 3 T20Is - seems a good way to go for me - they all have their place but personally my preferences are test and t20

We're just trying to build a generational pattern based on watching preferences. I'd guess you are 20 yrs or under Top Gun?

I love watching all forms of cricket, there's no doubt T20 is exciting but Test's are and always should remain the pinnacle of international cricket in my opinion, it forms a much more rounded and involved test of a players skills under much more challenging conditions.

I was only pointing out that the younger generation are more favoured towards the shorter formats of the game.

I don't mind odi, I love test cricket and I could take or leave T20. I'm a different generation 40+ here

I'm very much at both ends. I love test cricket and really enjoy T20, mainly as we play that on a night. We don't get to play 5-day games.

I'm not as bothered about ODIs. I don't find them as interesting or as entertaining.

Fattus do you remember the timeless Tests when it took England 3 months just to sail port to port to Sydney?

personally i'm down with the yoof and quite like T20.

You can't beat a test match thou especially stuffy old Lords , all the tradition, yellow and red blazers and all that
